They called Bitcoin ‘rat poison squared.’ Good. Let them. History shows us that every great movement—every push for true independence—was met with ridicule before it was accepted. We embrace their insults and turn them into badges of honor.

Being ‘ungovernable’ isn’t about chaos; it’s about autonomy. It’s about refusing to be a pawn in their system of debt, inflation, and financial surveillance. When they say we’re dangerous, we smile—because they’re right. We are dangerous to a system built on control, coercion, and theft.

At the heart of the design is a digital head. It’s a nod to the digital world we live in—a world of data, systems, and control mechanisms. But this head is no mere cog in the system. It thinks, it decodes, it creates. It is free.

Between the hands of the head hovers a box. What’s inside? The force of uncontrollable power, rebellion, and independence. One thing is certain: this box represents freedom of thought, freedom of action, and the ability to change the world. The box carries our logo, a subtle yet strong reminder of what we stand for.

PREV**NEXT**

It was forged in the chaos of ideas, late-night calls, and the raw energy of people who don’t play by the rules. It all started with a brainstorming session between Jon, Max and Sarah. The mission? Create a logo that captured the grit, rebellion, and relentless spirit of Bitcoin pleb Miners.

From the start, Jon knew where this was headed. A skull. Raw, unpolished, and full of meaning. Something that screamed defiance. With a handful of sketches and a crew of talented misfits—like Sarah, his wife, and Mr. Crown—the vision started to take shape.

Sarah brought her creativity to the table, drawing inspiration from industrial desk fans. (A quick backstory: Jon’s got a thing for these fans, even owning one Sarah had gifted him for Christmas. That’s love and mining vibes wrapped into one.) Her designs were solid, but this was just the start.

hash is out

Then there was Crown. The guy’s an artistic powerhouse. He’d already done some killer work for a podcast Jon had recorded during Pleb Miner Month, so Jon gave him a shot at creating something for the Telegram group. The brief? Barely more than “asic fans and industrial vibes.” But Crown crushed it, taking those minimal instructions and turning them into something that oozed creativity and attitude.

On July 28, 2022, the crew—Jon, Sarah, Max, and Crown—sat down to hash it out. Ideas flew, concepts got refined, and by the end of the meeting, they knew they had something special. Less than 24 hours later, Crown unveiled what would become the iconic skull design.

OUT.OF.STOCK

Ungovernable Insights

Pleb Mining

The first version said “Pleb Mining,” but with a quick tweak, the final skull was born. And it wasn’t just a logo. It became a rallying symbol—a declaration of loyalty, defiance, and the unstoppable energy of the Pleb Miner Mafia and Ungovernable Misfits.

The impact? Massive. Members of the Pleb Miner Mafia proudly adopted the skull as their own. Some, like @mrcdbrown3, are still rocking it today. The community even whipped up custom GIFs featuring the skull, thanks to creative legends like @LePlebRoyale, @tachirahomestd, and Jon himself.

Community builds

Show your build

Would you like to show your build as well? As a token of our appreciation, we’re giving back to those who have gone above and beyond to support us. That’s why we’re excited to introduce the Big Baller T-Shirt, an exclusive gift for everyone who has boosted over 1 million satoshis to our podcast.

But this isn’t just any shirt—it’s a symbol of the immense support and dedication you’ve shown us. It’s not merch; it’s a badge of honor for being such an integral part of our journey.

Your boosts don’t just support the podcast—they keep Ungovernable Misfits running. Every satoshi sent helps fuel the work we’re so passionate about. This isn’t just a hobby for us; it’s a project we pour our hearts into every day.

The podcast is about more than just sharing stories, ideas, and laughs—it’s about building something bigger: a community of misfits who embrace the ungovernable spirit. With every boost, you’re helping us pay for the tech, the time, and the effort required to keep delivering content we’re proud of.

From covering hosting fees to investing in better production tools and keeping our operation free from reliance on ads or sponsorships, your support gives us the freedom to stay authentic. And that’s something we’ll never take for granted.

So when we say thank you, we truly mean it.

What Is Podcasting 2.0?

If you’re wondering what Podcasting 2.0 is all about, here’s the deal: It’s the next evolution of podcasting. Unlike traditional models that rely on ads or sponsorships, Podcasting 2.0 gives creators more control and offers listeners new ways to engage.

One of the standout features is boosting, where listeners can directly support podcasters using Bitcoin (in the form of satoshis). Through apps like Fountain or Breez, you can “boost” an episode with sats and even include a message or “boostagram” to share your thoughts.

This Value for Value (V4V) model creates a decentralized and direct connection between podcasters and their audience—no middlemen involved!

And for Ungovernable Misfits, boosting isn’t just a fun feature—it’s the lifeblood of everything we do. It ensures we can keep creating, keep growing, and keep staying true to our mission.

Shoutout to the Monero Community

We’re also thrilled to acknowledge the Monero (XMR) community, who have supported us through XMRCHAT donations. If you’ve contributed the equivalent of 1 million sats in Monero, you’ll also be receiving a Big Baller T-Shirt.

Your generosity helps us stay independent and focused on what matters: delivering real, authentic content to our incredible listeners.

Claim Your Big Baller T-Shirt

This exclusive shirt is only available via the coupon codes we’re sending to our top supporters. Keep boosting, keep listening, and keep rocking that Big Baller T-Shirt—you’re a true legend.

[TUNE IN](/shows/)

<itunes:image href="/images/writings/big-baller.webp"/>

FREE SAMOURAI

#FREESAMOURAI Our story Privacy Is Not a Crime The recent arrest of the developers behind Samourai Wallet is nothing short of a blatant attack on the values of privacy, freedom, and resistance against

#FREESAMOURAI

Our story

Privacy Is Not a Crime

The recent arrest of the developers behind Samourai Wallet is nothing short of a blatant attack on the values of privacy, freedom, and resistance against authoritarian control. For those of us who identify as ungovernable misfits, this is not just another news headline—it is a wake-up call.

Samourai Wallet has long been a cornerstone for those seeking to protect their financial privacy in a world increasingly dominated by surveillance capitalism and overreaching governments. These tools were never about enabling illegal activity, as the powers that be would like to claim. They were about something far more profound: preserving autonomy and ensuring that individuals could operate outside the ever-tightening grip of financial institutions and state control.

Let’s get one thing straight—privacy is not, and should never be, a crime. Yet, governments worldwide have continually sought to erode this fundamental human right under the guise of combating crime and ensuring public safety. The arrest of the Samourai Wallet developers is a chilling reminder of how far they are willing to go to maintain their stranglehold on our financial lives.

For years, Samourai Wallet has been a beacon for those who value privacy. Their tools empowered us to make financial transactions without the prying eyes of banks, corporations, or governments. Whirpool implementations, Ricochet, and other privacy features were not about breaking the law—they were about leveling the playing field. They were about giving individuals a fighting chance to reclaim a shred of control in a system designed to keep us docile and monitored.

video by Mr.Crown

The Fight Continues

The arrest of the Samourai Wallet developers is unacceptable, but it is not the end. If anything, it is a rallying cry for all of us who believe in the principles of freedom and privacy. We must double down on our efforts to create, use, and promote tools that defy the surveillance state. We must continue to educate ourselves and others about the importance of decentralization and individual sovereignty.

As ungovernable misfits, it is our duty to carry the torch that these developers have lit. We owe it to them, and to ourselves, to ensure that their work was not in vain. Let this moment serve as a reminder that the fight for freedom is far from over—and that we are stronger together.

Privacy is not a crime. Resistance is not futile. And as long as there are those of us who refuse to be governed, their attempts to control us will never succeed.

Our story

Support the Cause

Temporarily Unavailable

In light of this injustice, we created an exclusive T-shirt and hoodie design to show solidarity with the Samourai Wallet developers and the principles they stand for.
