Welcome to Freedom Tech Friday, a live and interactive show. Thank you for that, mate. That's very nice. Should we skip all the intro stuff? Because it's just all
this gay stuff. If if you don't know who what this show was all about at this point, just just get fucked. We have no new listeners. There's no new listeners coming. Oh, I don't know. We just had a Ugandan every day. We had a Ugandan write to us the other day, a new listener.
Really? Well, welcome. Yeah. Yeah. Ugandan man or woman. Yeah. Yeah. We don't know. No. But they did not identify themselves. Basically, if you like Freedom,
and you can listen at 9AM eastern or 2PM UK time live. And if you can't make that, that's fine because you can still listen on the ungovernable podcast feed. If you don't like Freedom, if you don't like Freedom Tech, you can fuck off.
Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Big time. Hey. Let me say hi. Bon. That's my good friend. I love that guy from way back. He's the best. Hi, Bon. Clem Clem Fandango. I don't know. He doesn't have any other. Hey. God bless you and your wife, and, I'll see you guys soon, Cordic. Hello, friend. And Silas,
of course, you're awesome. The the the retweets from Silas and then this the AI slop pictures that he does, and he's the most reliable, like, ungovernable misfits re retweeter ever. He's ungovernable yet reliable.
It's quite rare. Yeah. That's okay. You can do that. Yeah. You can do that. Hey. Do you see my art in the background there? Let's have a look. How do I do that? That one right there? Oh, nice. You know that one. Crown classic. And then I have this one here.
This is a this is a custom. Crown made that for me. Did he? Oh, that's very nice. Mhmm. It's actually signed down here. I'm not very good at framing. Yeah. Is it numbered as well, or is it just one of one? One of one. I'm the only one that has. Wow. This is our part.
We like that one. I haven't found a place to hang out with these two yet, but here's my favorite. Everybody should have this one. Yeah. That is a great one. Revolt. Alright. That is a great one. I'm done showing off my art.
Okay. You got a lovely collection. Thank you very much. Oh, I've got more up here. Look. You made that. The Game Boy one? Did I? Well, the the Game Boy one. Yeah. This this here, that's like an episode that we did.
I can't even see it. Fucking Maybe I did. Alright. Then the Bite Size Bitcoin one. And then the the Game Boy one. Mhmm. And then Oh, that's another other first parts that we did. Our first episode up up there. Up top. Yeah. And then Sarah's episode Yeah. Is up there too.
Well, that's lovely. So Yeah. What are we talking about today? We we we sort of we haven't done a lot of mining recently. No. But we we haven't even done our Meshtadel type shows for a while. So this is like a a Meshtadel how to be resilient even if you have your Bitcoins, you can't eat them. Let's not die.
Is that sort of what it is? Yeah. Yeah. I think so. You know, it it it it's in the tradition of all of the Meshtadel shows that we've ever done, the conversations that you've had with Ben, the conversations that we've had with with with Joel and Solex and Chino.
We've gone over everything there is to go over as far as resilience, community, eight forms of capital, permaculture. I just wanted to check-in with everybody and kind of give you a little bit of a bump.
Are you are you going over your little prepper plan, your little Amazon list check boxes? Yes. Amazon gave me a prepper package that said, I should have a water filter. I should have a generator.
Check. Okay. What else do I need? I need some meals in a bucket that I'm never gonna cook. You know, that that's so that's that's not what I'm talking about. And, unfortunately, I think in in the minds of our our our, like, core audience, which would be Mhmm.
Western males Uganda. Between we and mister Uganda. But but for the most part, you don't even have to be living in the West, but kind of a a Western mindset. Mhmm. You you know what I mean? Like a Western mindset kind of male from 30 to,
let's say, 50, and then if we include some old heads like, you know, Bubba and and and such. That but that's that's pretty much the the demographic, and there's kind of a there's a certain way of thinking, and it's like this like I said, this Amazon checklist that you can go through. Like, am I prepared for life? Yes.
And so what are you thinking about? Pretty much, you're only prepared for, like, a power outage of a day or two. Like, if you're real if you're really good at this, you have enough gas to run your generator and, you know, run your refrigerators and you have some spare water.
But really, that that doesn't prepare you for three scenarios. So we'll we'll go over three different types of scenario. Scenario one, we continue on in sort of our cushy western civilization post colonial life where everything is good and the supply chains are really long and they're cheap
and you you really don't have to worry about anything, but you should be prepared for, like, I don't know, a storm. Mhmm. I don't know. We just had a storm, power's off for half a day. This is that time of year. I think most people that we know are are prepared for that.
They've got a little generator. They've got some gas store. They got a little bit of extra food. First aid kit. Yeah. God. We've gone over this stuff so many times in the show. Yeah. But remember, a lot of the the freedom
tech stuff don't cross over to those shows. So a lot of the I I understand. I understand. I'm just I'm just Shout trying to out to all the the devy nerdy types who built the Freedom Tech, but maybe don't maybe don't have the,
I don't know, the bunker and the guns and the other stuff that maybe could be useful if things go upside down. So so that's where I don't want to go with this this conversation, is the fantasy fallout video game slash The Walking Dead,
which I think in everybody's mind that's that's what what everything is going to be like, that it's gonna be this post apocalyptic world. So let's let's get back to my three my three scenarios. Let me I'll write them wrote them down.
Oh, I got this thing here. And then I copied and pasted your AI slop for this conversation. Now it fucked me all up. Oh, okay. Three three three segments. The current level of of western prosperity, which pretty much the only thing you have to worry about is maybe you're out of power for a day or two.
You know? Are you gonna be like North Carolina, you know, storm where it completely wipes out a couple counties worth of stuff? And most likely not. But that's that's that's the current level of Western prosperity with a gradual decline
because I I think the whole decline thing is is inevitable. So let's not fool ourselves that it's it's gonna be like this forever. Scenario two, shit hits the fan, and that shit hits the fan with authoritarian dystopia.
Digital ID, flock cameras everywhere, shock troops, stay in line, fifteen minute cityo cities, you know, the digital panopticon kind of thing. I don't see that as being 100% where things are gonna go.
I I just don't. It's it's takes a lot. I'd say all cities. You know, in in this shit, it's the fan scenarios. Basically, all major cities in the world will go towards something like this. But if but if they want they want the China model.
They want you to be happy in the way that they want you to be happy. They want the social credit score. I don't I don't think unless unless you resist, unless you just have this this, you know, this thing in your heart that all the ungovernable misfits have that we could never live in a scenario like that. We would die inside.
So your your life will will suck but most people's lives I don't think don't suck because they're too low IQ to know that it sucks. Mhmm. Because they don't have that spirit and that fire burning inside them.
I I I would would how many let me ask you this. How many people in China that live in those big, you know, high rise towers? Do you how many do you think are happy? Like, they think they're
I've no idea. I've not spent any time with any Chinese nationals who live in tower blocks. Like, I know we got big fans. We got Avalon. They're huge fans of the show. We got we got some Chinese listeners, but I I don't I don't know. And everyone who I know who's Chinese is, like, Western Chinese.
Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, it it's like, I've got mates who are Chinese, but they've lived in The UK for, like, almost their entire lives or their entire lives. So they're not really like, so I don't I don't fucking know what they think. No idea.
Hey. Do do you know this guy that's that's on the Internets nowadays? And he's this Chinese professor. He he he was popular for, like, two, three weeks. Right. No. I don't. No. God. He's so out of fuck. You might have to be more specific, a Chinese professor.
No. Chinese professor guy. He he gives classes in English and so, like, you know, the dawn of civilization kind of thing and end of civilization. Professor Zhao. I'm just gonna make it up. Yeah. It might be in my YouTube feed.
Professor Zhao Ming. Yeah. Per perhaps be his name.
And so in in a lot of his lectures, he's always saying, you know, why why do Chinese students want to come to America? And they want to learn English and make money in America and get a job in America and get married in America. Why why why do wanna do that when you can stay in China and you can have a good living
and you can make a lot more money here because a lot of people you're you're already out in the affluent class in China. You can make a lot more money here. Like, he he always has that in his lectures.
He it it it's almost like he's sort of a a propaganda guy for the the the Chinese Communist Party Mhmm. To to keep the students there. But that is true. A lot of them do want to come to The United States and
set up shop here. And it's that that yearning for freedom that that everybody naturally has. And I think you can it's more suppressed in in different social groups and different cultures.
I I believe I personally believe that it is more it is more prevalent in in the Western Christian man. I'm just saying that's that's what I think. That's why I think that the globalists want to destroy us first is because we have that natural yearning to to to be free.
Alright. So so back to my point. So under this kind of authoritarian dystopia, shit hits the fan scenario one, I think a lot of people will be happy. I think a lot of the ungovernable misfits will be unhappy.
So don't live in a city. Good sound. Then we'll we'll we'll we'll go over different things that you can do. And and and I I think these shit hits the fan scenarios one and two are a good thing to prepare for.
And then, you you know, we always say this. What what do we say this on the show that we did with Karim where the world was supposed to end on October 31 and when we finished that show, we were like, hey, we don't know if the world's gonna end, probably not, but it doesn't hurt to do any of this stuff.
And and if you're not doing the Amazon prepper checklist thing like, oh, sorry, dear. I just spent you know, I took $30,000 out of my four zero one k because I thought the world was gonna end. So I went on Amazon, and I bought a generator, and I bought, you know, a bunch of gasoline.
Survival knife. I bought all yeah. I bought a survival knife from freaking ramble. I bought a parachute cord. I wear it on my wrist all the time, this parachute cord. You never know when you're gonna need that stuff, man. You take a parachute cord, somebody zip tied your hands together.
You take a parachute cord and you put it around like this, and then you put you cut them zip ties right off. It would then does fuck the Amazon checklist thing. This is gonna be bigger than that. We better get we better get to the the actionable stuff, but here's here's me, like, kind of poo pooing all of the the suburban dad bullshit
that everybody is probably trapped in with the Amazon checklist of things. And I I'm guilty of it too because we're all kind of like that nerdy 15 year old kid still,
you know? He was, like, looking through looking through the back of a comic book or something, he's like, oh, shit. Look at that Rambo survival knife. If I had to Listen, mate. I'd I'd be in the woods and I've done it. I've ordered all the survival knives and fucking axes and, like, it's Crossbow.
I've gone crossbow all gone all full survival. If shit kicks off, I'd last five minutes longer than everyone else. Mhmm. Mhmm. So but listen, mate. I look fucking cool doing it. Oh, yeah, man. You can't take that away from me. I'll go out in style. I'll have I'll have multiple axes, big fucking Rambo knives.
I'm gonna look sick, and then I'm gonna get shot. Yeah. Yeah. That's that's pretty much it. And so we'll we'll go over how not to be the Me. B max. Yeah. I think it so listen. We we you and I both know that your Ungovernable Misfits persona is a lot different than your real persona. I mean, of of course, you you're, like, 90% there,
but you're you can be a lot more serious Yeah. On in your in your personal you are a lot more serious in in your personal life. Yes. So I don't I don't want people to judge you like you're you're some nerd that's gonna get rolled. You're not.
You're you're you're a lot more resilient and a lot more hard than than you, like, present yourself out in public. Sorry to give away, you know, your secret. I just I I wouldn't fuck with you. Yeah. Yeah. Yep. I wouldn't fuck with you either.
I wouldn't fuck with me either because what what's your opportunity cost? Alright. So let's let's let's go over the oh, and then scenario scenario three is shit hits the fan and everybody's Amish.
So Clem, everybody's gonna everybody's gonna be everybody's gonna be you, you know. That's that's essentially where he went. So what is something that Clem just said? Easy, we just all become Amish. Just go back to be okay not seeing any woman's ankles other than your wives. Oh.
Not really an ankle guy. I could I could live with no ankles. I got really nice ankles, I could just look at my own. You? Okay. Yeah. Yeah. You're pretty sweet. Nice feet. I mean, I I could be a foot Foot model. Feet pick model if I wanted to be. I don't wanna Wow. It's always there.
Alright. I want to read a quote in in our friend, what's his name? Oh, Paul Marcenko. I didn't I don't know I don't know what names people put in like, this is the thing for me. I I know everybody's real name.
Hey, government. If you wanna bust all these people, I I know all their real names. Just come after me. You pull my you pull my toenails out of my perfect feet and and I'll tell you everything that you need to know.
Why didn't I I didn't put Paul's quote in my notes. Alright. So I'm gonna go over Telegram. Oh, this is someone like me, isn't it? To, like, click around? Mhmm. Click. Me see you're doing it. Click. MQ. Yeah.
Thank you. He's on a lovely holiday at the moment. Oh, really? Be he'd be he'd be out sipping a rose Mhmm. Taking some nice walks. He would he would rose. Exactly what he would do. Management.
He will he will make out as though he drinks Guinness and he's a lad. Lad. Mhmm. And he'll be, like, in the gym and stuff. But he's sipping a rose on the terrace. With his giant muscular legs?
Yeah. I tell you what. If if shit if shit hits the fan, I'm I'm gonna go after Q and you can them legs could feed somebody. They could feed a family for like a month. Those muscular, gorgeous legs.
You could be like the perfect I'll be the put the foot on the bottom and ankle, that's me, and then the rest of the leg is Q. I think you've got the perfect leg. Talk about my legs, mate.
Alright. So Paul says, my realistic achievements while I'm still neck deep in Fiat world has been to cultivate friendships, lasting ones with local community. Living in a small town is easier than the big city in many ways. My own personal mesh to Dell is full of normies but still has a lot of guys and gals,
alright, I can rely on. If shit hits the fan, everything would be battle tested, but I believe I have some I can count on and they know they can count on me. But my energy sovereignty and food sovereignty is severely lacking.
That's really only from my lack of effort. And I can make excuses all day long, but time is flying by, and I'm trying not to miss out on my kids' childhood while also preparing them for the future as I best possibly can. I don't know if that ramble sparks. Thank you. Any interest or conversation, but that's my two sets for the moment.
Then he goes on to say, being in this group and that's the Blood Minor Mafia, sometimes I feel the most normie of us all, but I try to learn from everyone in here, always just doing the best I can and keep praying. Maybe the music won't stop before the natural end of my life. Oh, man.
Made me cry.
Don't want to find myself without any chairs when the music stops and shit hits the fan. And I thought that that Paul, that really stuck with me that I don't wanna find myself without any chairs when the music stops and shit hits the fan. Mhmm. And I know at this point, he would want to put some, I think you should leave GIF in the in
the chat. So just tell us what what I think you should leave GIF that you wanted to put in there. Like, what would your search parameters be? It's almost exclusively how we communicate. Alright. Gifts.
Well, you and I too. But for him, it's it's it's I think you should leave, you know, with the with that guy, Tim Robinson. You know who that is? You've watched that show? Mm-mm. Nope. I'm I'm too young.
I imagine too young. That guy's like your age. Is he? Uh-huh. Okay. You have to share it with me. I don't know. Maybe I do. Alright. So that's the that's the position that all of us are in, isn't it?
Mhmm. This is exactly what Paul said, like, well, you know, I'm in my community and probably everything would go alright. And and I'm in Fiat Land and I'm trying to make money for my family because really, I can't just be playing in the woods all day long.
You know, we we we have we've got a group down down south here in in the county. And there was like this whole group of LARP militia kind of guys. I wouldn't say militia because that's got a bad connotation for the feds.
Most militias are just freaking fed honey pots anyhow. Yeah. You know, just fuck that stupid word. That's that's, you know, FBI, Department of Justice, the bullshit to try to to to vilify sovereign Americans.
But anyway, those were kind of the reading the back of the comic book and getting the the Rambo knife when you were a kid guys. And then they never really progressed beyond like 15, 16 years old. And I'm not saying there aren't groups that are real really serious and prepared and sort of an intentional community type,
But I feel like that's the pull of the suburban dad kind of thing. Like, hey. We're gonna go out in the woods, and and we're gonna make sure that we're physically fit. But these are all good things, by the way, so don't don't get triggered here, everybody.
But they they never really progressed beyond that. And then in our community, we sort of have the suburban dad thing now, which has started, and then I really like it. And it didn't have anything to do with me. It just happened organically.
A buddy of ours is going over to this other guy's house and and they're raising chickens together and they're doing a garden. And then I was at the garden center a couple weeks ago getting all my stuff because I didn't start from seed this year because, well, you know my life.
Yes. And it was a couple couple families that live over the hill, and these are, like, rich suburbanite kind of people. You know, the years ago, no one that you would have thought would be preparing for anything or even thinking about this stuff. And they were like, oh, we're we're starting a community garden,
you know, between these three families. Now in in all likelihood, they're not gonna be able to to grow enough of anything for any kind of to make a caloric difference in in your life. And and most gardening is that too and and I don't. I never I never have in a garden said to myself, boy,
I I could probably feed my entire family with this garden. It's more like, gee, I hope I can make some jars of tomato sauce before all these tomatoes go rotten
and the the zucchinis don't grow 10 feet and you're making 20 things of of different kind of zucchini and like, force feeding zucchini down your kid's throat. I got all this zucchini. You better fucking eat it.
And and no nobody's under any kind of illusion that you're gonna be able to feed your family on these gardens, but it's it's that it's that thought that I'm I'm doing this. I'm learning these lessons, and I'm working with other people.
And and so that's the thing, like what Paul is saying. He's like, I think I have the right community. I think if shit hits the fan, I can depend on these people. And I would say, I don't know if you can if you haven't worked with them, you know, towards these kind of common goals kind of thing.
Like, I I know I know I could work with you, Max. Why? Because we've been irritating each other for years and and and, you know, gone in deep together on on on a lot of stuff out outside of Ungovernmental Misfits. So I know now we live in very different areas.
I know though, if you were my neighbor, that we could team together and build a community. And and hanging out at block parties and having a couple drinks and watching the game is completely different than a shit hits the fan scenario and there's not enough food, there's not enough security
and now you guys have to work together in a in a pointed way that is for the group and and less selfish. So you you you have to prepare for that. And I don't think that the suburban dad doing the weekend warrior stuff with a suburban dad getting
prepper supplies is the way to go. So now that we've gone a half hour into that, let's talk about how we actually build out, you know, some some personal sovereignty. And then do you wanna do, like do do do you wanna let me look at your AI slop notes.
Because this could be like a four hour pod or it could be a series but we're never gonna do the series. You know what I mean? We can do the series. These are supposed to be an hour. It's not it's not gonna happen. I had to take vacation days off on Fridays.
Unless you wanna bring the PMM show back. Yeah. I do I do I do miss doing them. I do too. I I do too. And and the well is kind of built. You you know what I mean? It's it's not on right now because it's too hot.
It's always fucking something with this guy. Honestly, the conversations I have to have. It's too hot, the well. I'm just sweating. Oh, it's too cold. I can't run anything. It's too cold for I have to shut everything down, and my little toes get cold.
It's unbelievable. Alright. Cool. I wish I was your neighbor because I'd fucking get stuff working. Oh, you son of a bitch. Go fuck yourself. That's it. Now now you triggered me. The the Pepe frog.
Short short thing. Mhmm. It's this has always been the case that I knew that this was this was going to happen is when the gas comes out of the compressor, the generators have have to use the gas and any gas that doesn't get used by the generators
gets pushed back into the suction side of the compressor. So if you run-in this like loop of gas all the way through, eventually the temperatures go up. Even though like I have an after cooler in there that is supposed to cool the gas, it's it probably is undersized.
So that's one problem. The second problem is the compressor sits right in the middle of this garage because it's the second compressor that was in there. The previous compressor was, like, turned to the side and then exhausted out of the sides of the garage, but now it's turned lengthwise.
And so the exhaust is not the exhaust. The the cool the the after coolers for for the gas, the compressor oil for for the engine, Those are like 10 feet from the end of the wall. So all of that all of that hot air kind of gets sucked back in.
So really what needs to happen is I need to have enough generation there where I can run this, the compressor at full RPMs and have that fan spinning faster, which I could put a new sheave on and make that spin faster and consume more of the gas. So it's just kind of like a cart before the horse situation.
And if it's over 82 degrees, the either the compressor the compressor shuts down on high engine temp or high discharge gas discharge temp. So that has nothing to do with this car thing. Always an excuse.
That's very, very in-depth, but but always an excuse. I know. But at least I have, like, at least I have long excuses. Yeah. That was good. It was it was really good. I enjoyed the performance.
What do you yeah. What do you think there's an excuse and a rationalization is? So what do we got that is actionable? Like, yes, I agree with all the points of Yeah. This stuff is stupid, and and we're being childish with some of the purchases. They're not they're not useless, but
they're not as useful as you think. And so Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. We used to talk a lot about on the especially on the PMM show about, you know, relationships mattering more than the things that you have for your survival kit, the sort of loose agreements, your social capital, your your knowledge,
and and then also, like, the the things that can catch you out just like basic shit where you've got, oh, I've got my weapons. I've got my bunker. I've got this. I've got that. But do you know how to save someone if they've got a wound? Like, do you know how to help do you know how to use your first aid kit?
Because that's that's the kind of shit where it's like you have all the prep, and then someone gets cut badly, and they bleed out because you you don't know what you're doing or someone has a problem. Mate. I don't think you have. Yeah. Yeah.
So these are the things I like when I talk about skills. Maybe you could you could run the scenarios and spend Yeah. Days and days and days and weeks at ranges and getting good with a gun, or you you could take a little bit of that time to work out, like, how to actually save a life of a family member with the things you have. Yeah.
I so I I I of course, first aid training is very good. But when you're
when you're faced with, like, a cut on somebody's arm, you'll be like, oh, okay. I know what to do. It's x y and z. First, we're going to clean the wound. Okay. Well, if it's then we'll irrigate it and then we'll stop, you know, stop the bleeding as first, I believe, and then then wound care, stuff like that.
But when somebody's got a sucking chest wound, like, are you able to sit there and plug up the sucking chest wound? If if you try to give somebody the Heimlich maneuver and it didn't work out and they passed out, are you able to, like, guide them to the ground and and kind of sweep the airway and and
and, you know, do do chest compressions? So I think a lot of a lot of you can be covered by just having a good first aid kit and kind of like the the Red Cross chart of Mhmm. This is what you do, step one, two, and three.
Mhmm. But all of these steps are should be accompanied with, like, mental preparedness and fortitude. Mhmm. And to know who in your group is able to to step up and do that. Like, knows John would be the guy to do that.
That Mhmm. Sarah would be the one in the corner like, oh my god. I don't wanna do this. I can't. Like, she would she would absolutely lock up. Mhmm. So you have you have to not only have this knowledge, but then then prepare for it. So Mhmm.
Let's go with electricity. Everybody should have some sort of generator at your house. Now I prefer to have, like, a generator with a common carburetor because in all likelihood, that's what's gonna go bad with your with your generator, common spark plugs.
If you get some of this TEMU stuff, I don't exactly know what what that generator is, but I know for my carb on my generator, I've got a carb rebuild kit, and and I have a whole another carb there.
So to have those common parts. So it's like one thing to have the thing, but then it's a it's a whole another to know how to repair it, to know how to operate it, to know how to operate it quickly, and to have the peripherals around it to fix it and keep it running.
So that's that's something that I run-in with the gas well. It's like, when I run the numbers on the gas well, I should be really, really profitable. But there's so many additional inputs for that freaking gas well, oil, filters, diaphragms on on regulators,
the wastewater that I have to get rid of. You know, so so it it isn't just to know the operation. It isn't just to pump gas out of the ground and convert it to electrons. It is 50 other things around it that is the real trick. So when you take your your generator, you go out of power.
What's your source of fuel? Diesel generator, gas generator, which is which is gonna be it's gonna be your your your first entry. Natural gas generator. Where do you get your diesel from? Where do you get your gas from?
Where do you get your your gasoline from? What happens when the common things on it break? And and I'm not I'm not talking about it it it broke a, you know, crank or something like that. I'm I'm just talking about carburetor, spark plugs, bad gas.
You have to be prepared for every part of that situation. You've you've got a bad circuit on there. How do you how do you feed it to the things that you need to consume electricity from? Do you back feed it into into the panel and turn the panel off? Do you have an automatic I forgot what it's called. The the automatic, like, switch over.
The the safety lockout thing that you have to lock the feed before you can actually turn the generator back on. What appliances are connected into the generator? So you have to know this whole complete system for every element.
So if you're getting a generator, know what kind of generator, know the tools, have the knowledge to operate it, consider that supply chains are probably not gonna work, so you can't go on Amazon and get that spark plug or or get that carburetor.
That gas goes bad quickly, so I hope you've got fuel stabilizer in in all of your gas to to keep it dry. So every part of your system, you have to know where that's coming from and the peripherals around it. Damn. Burping like crazy today.
What have you what have you eaten or had to drink? Every morning, I have my my Otis Bittmeier coffee. I have my raw milk, bovine colostrum in the raw milk, and that's it. So milk and coffee. That's it. Milk and milking pretty much. Yeah. Milk and milk. Thought you'd have some eggs
knowing you. No. I we we only got one layer. The the the new chicks won't be laying until August, and raccoons have just tore through all the chickens and we only got one layer. Nowhere resilient.
No. We're not very resilient at all. You gotta stay on you you gotta know your entire system. So let's take let's take food now. And I think chickens is is a full a full on chicken flock with a rooster is the absolute way to go.
If you're the whole suburban dad, which is probably, once again, 90% of our audience, you pretty much can do layers. If you can get a rooster, get a rooster. A 100%. Mhmm. So there's there's a chink in the armor of my chicken system is that, number one, I don't have a rooster.
Number two, I'm a busy fiat minded person, and if the power glitch is here, my automatic door opener on on the chicken coop, resets to the wrong time. All the batteries are dead and the battery backup.
And a couple times, chickens have got into the run. And this is all you you see my setup. It's like, if they're in the coop and the door is closed, it's a a bear is not getting in there. But the chicken run, raccoons can get in there, and sometimes they eat their food. And so I I can do simple things
to prevent this from happening ever again. I could take five minutes out of every day to make sure that that system is is resilient, and and that would be to close-up more of of the chicken area, to get a rooster for for hawks and other predators and such.
You know, there's there's certain things within my chicken system that I could have done to completely prevent getting almost completely wiped out and having to start over with store bought chicks. If I get wiped out in one night, what am I gonna do?
I don't have like a steady stream of of chicks coming in and then harvesting, you know, birds for meat. I I don't have that. So that is all a bit gay, if I'm honest. Alright. What's all a bit gay?
I think from me thinking originally about getting chickens and from me trying in the past to have my own fruit and veg and grow my own stuff and blah blah blah, like, thinking that I had that food resilience if Yeah. If things go bad and supply chains stop and I can't just go and buy food.
And I thought a lot about it, and my final thought is it's all a bit gay and fake. And for me, at least, having a month's worth of supply of food in a pantry sealed and a big chest freezer or two full of meat and having enough food to get me through that month
is a better use of time and money for me Mhmm. As a busy person than having the chickens and building the coop and building the the veg boxes and getting all the slugs out and fucking with all that stuff to produce a load of spinach that then by the time you cook it Oh, yeah. Is the size of a fucking gnat's cock. Yeah.
And and it it just like, it it gets to a point where unless you've got a lot of land and a lot of time, I think that the time is better spent elsewhere. Personally, that's I think I think it's a little bit of a, for most people, a little bit of a fantasy
land, like a lot of stuff we've talked about. Mhmm. And I think the time is is better spent elsewhere. I have a month of food, and I'm pretty confident that my strategy wins out compared to most people who have a vegetable patch and some chickens
Yeah. And whatever, and they think they're gonna feed their family because they're not. And even if they are and things get really bad, they're like, oh, yeah. Well, the power's gone out everywhere,
and you can't get diesel, and, like, it's completely fucked. It's like, okay. How long until your neighbors or someone goes, oh, they've got food and chickens and stuff? Yeah. Like, if you don't have a gun, then you're fucked. So Even if you even if you do have a gun.
So what's what's the opportunity what's the opportunity cost of of defending yourself? Where in in in these these shit hits the fan situations, if you get a cut like, how how many times have you had to take antibiotics in your life?
Never. Seriously. Never. Get the fuck out of here. It's the old one that I can talk to. Fuck you. I've never taken antibiotics. If you were a normal person, how many times would you have taken antibiotics? The point is you you you get a scratch. You you sprain an ankle, you had to have your appendix taken out or or or something like that.
It's just the the you're you're on an a knife's edge all the time in these shit. It's the fan situation. But I but I don't wanna
Clem says, have your tools, supplies like three d printer, filament, fasteners, lumber, etcetera sorted out ahead of time. Right. I agree. So it's it's it's the it's the peripherals around your particular system.
So we had a food one unit of food, which is chickens. Alright. What's your peripherals around your chickens? Do you have fresh chicks coming in because you have a rooster? Do you have
a way to secure them all the time? How how do you feed them if the supply chain is broken down and you can't go to Tractor Supply and get more chicken feed? Are you able to feed them on on your property with what you have? You know, so know every every part of the system, but also time is money
kind of thing. So so back to to your rationalization of why you don't do chickens or or grow a garden. Your excuses, as you may say, as as to why you don't grow a garden. I we've we've talked about this a lot over the past couple months, and I think the most prepared thing that you can do at this time is to be wealthy.
Yeah. And I don't know if this is gonna set some people off, and I don't care because I have thought so much about this. Doing this stuff over the years with with the garden and the Bitcoin mining and the the home heating stuff and chickens and the cows and god. This is, you know, this is
much of what I've thought about and spoken about over the past four or five years that we've been friends. Mhmm. But I still have always directed myself towards building wealth. Like, that's, you know, working fiat job, working overtime, not spending money.
You you know me. I don't spend money on on anything. I mean, this is a government misfit shirt. It was free. Nice. Our old our old shirt printer guy, Matt, gave that to me. Do you see the back?
Let's have a look. You see that? You have to stand up. Nice. Another classic crown design. Class. He was in here. He he was in here. I don't know if he still is. Where is he? He said let's read the bring back action. He did a heart.
He did do a heart. Did it back, and that was it from him. But we still got we got the heart. I'll leave the heart. The metaphysics. I'm I'm I'm not bringing back action news. Okay. I I don't know. Maybe we'll do, like, one a year.
Yeah. I like, I unless Ocean wanna sponsor us, I They're the only ones with any money. Somehow, I get all that Dorsey Dorsey money. Yeah. Unless Dorsey wants to sponsor us Mhmm. Through Ocean.
Yeah. I've got no or or Kanan come out with a disgusting offer for us. You you do the best Chinese accent. They actually seem to have like a western marketing team now. Mhmm. I have noticed.
Anyway, I can I don't wanna talk about mining? We don't wanna talk Can about I just round up of why it stopped as well? Okay. You round you round up. Go ahead. It was, you know, oh, yeah. Let's go through the mining statistics, and then it would, like, the summary would be horrible.
It was always, like, terrible. It was your favorite part of the show. Yeah. Depressing. It was. But it was like it it became it became more and more like, how's it how's it being a pleb minor?
Awful. And Awful. It just Yeah. Awful. So it it kind of, to me, got a bit, like, predictable. There wasn't so much growth. Yeah. We talked about the same things. We had a great group of people. I preferred the PMM because we got to talk about different subjects.
Yeah. It was fun, but I just think, like, I don't know that we're offering like, anyone who's a proper minor who's doing more than, like, shit axing knows, yeah, this is fucking hard work. And, like Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Ugh. It's tough.
So hence, stopping that. I I I almost thought with the action news, like, I don't wish this upon anybody. Your worst enemy. Yeah. Right. I think in in my heart, I can't do this to you. I don't wanna talk about this stuff anymore. Exactly.
I guess now that I'm so deep into it, it's like sometimes I don't even wanna think about it. And and unless, of course, hash price goes way up. Anyway Yeah. We don't this isn't this isn't a mining I don't think we're gonna bring action news back, but we could. I don't know. Something big happened, but we we might could jump on.
But I really would love to do to do the mesh adult shows. I haven't even, like, been on a mesh adult call or talk to any of those guys Yeah. In in a while. So but I feel like we could spin up a mesh adult show anytime like we're doing right now.
Yes. Alright. So your your systems, your food system, wherever you're getting your food from, know all the inputs and outputs of that system and all the people that are involved in it. If you're gonna have a real food system that is going to take either being Amish like Clem, but even even Clem being Amish,
you still have a community with you and friends and neighbors that you've met on that that new property and No ankles, though. Different what's that? No ankles, though. No. You're not allowed to show them. I mean, what are you what are you worried about looking at ankles when you're hungry?
There's not a lot of meat on an ankle. Can think about that. You'd be looking at Right. Accused calves. Are you looking at my calves, mate? I might be. I might be looking at those calves.
What else we well, what other systems? Water? Food, energy, water. Let's go let's go with water. Have you ever seen space balls? No. I knew it. I knew it. There was a small chance that you would know any Mel Brooks. Have you seen any Mel Brooks films?
No. Spaceballs. Watch out. I wouldn't know like names, I I'm not good at names. I think I've got early early onset Alzheimer's because it's got had as long as I've known you. Yeah. No. But, mate, it's got it's got really bad.
It's got re I have to, like, on my phone, have names of, like everywhere that I go, it's like, lady at shop on counter in such and such shop name, and then I have to get my phone out. But even people I speak to every single week and have done for years at this point.
I forgot my kid's birthdays the other day. Like, yep, mate. It's bad. It's You're real piece of shit. Yeah. A a really low, low human being. I'm like that way with all, like, the the parents in the periphery.
Oh, yeah. Because they're all they're all an NPC. I cannot remember I cannot remember NPC's names at all. Then they all know me.
Yeah. Like, hey, Jono. I your wife said that you were working on a gas well or how does that work? Mate. Hey. I don't have any clue who you are or who your kid is. Sometimes I'll know who the kid is. Like, who's your kid? Oh, Lila. Oh, Lila's mom. That's Yeah. That's who you are to me, and you'll you'll never be anything else.
But is is that a good thing? Like, back to this conversation, like, do you know the people in your neighborhood in your neighborhood In your neighborhood? No. I don't. But I should and I should at least know
who can do what and what they can do for me and what I can do for them in exchange for for for something else. Like, you have to we're always doing this thing where Sarah and I are qualifying team members for the zombie apocalypse.
You know, like, she she met this chiropractor guy. And last summer, number one girl had a really bad concussion. She was running track, and after track practice, they went all over to the to the hurdles and just screwing around, and she jumped over a hurdle and tripped and, like, landed right on her head.
So last summer, she was screwed up bad with a concussion for two months, I think. And this chiropractor was the only they're going in the children's hospital, neurologist,
and sports medicine people. And Sarah spent the entirety of last summer just driving her around to different doctor's appointments to try to cure this this concussion thing. So we found out about this guy, doctor doctor Mary.
And so she started going to doctor Mary and doing all the goofy shit like like you and I'd be like, that's fucking retarded. Laser therapy and light therapy and and this trigger point thing, you know, like, toot, like that.
You ever got adjusted like that from a chiropractor? He he does that type of adjustment. Well, you know, you could do, like, crack the shit out of somebody or you can do, like Yeah. This, like, thing. It's like, to tink. You know, it goes like that. I love chiropractors.
I'm too tight to pay for it now. I used to get them reduced, and now I'm too tight. But it's the best thing ever. I absolutely love it. Okay. Well, this this guy's good, and he cured her.
Mhmm. And so Sarah has, you know, all these problems with her hips from from working all the time, and, he cured he cured her of that. And then we get to talking to him. And this this is this is a good tip is is we're always qualifying
people for the zombie apocalypse team. Like, take that however you want to. So this should be part of your resilient network thing is to be qualifying people that you would, in this fantasy world, recruit people onto your zombie apocalypse team.
Like, I know this this these neighbors next to me are dead. They're dead day one. They get DoorDash delivered three, four times a day. The kid's like 28 years old. He's a fat fucking dough ball. He doesn't do anything but mow his lawn. He doesn't weed whack or anything. He doesn't pick up sticks.
All he does is ride around on that tractor and he's a fat lumpy piece of shit. He is not on the zombie apocalypse team. But Not invited. This guy. No. Not not invited at all. So you have you have to constantly qualify these people.
My buddy Thomas, he's on the zombie apocalypse team. My buddy Mike, he's on the zombie apocalypse team. These three guys down the street that all kind of live across from each other, they're on the zombie apocalypse team. My buddy Josh is on the zombie apocalypse team.
My buddy Eric on this is this is all in in our community. I know exactly what everybody does on the zombie apocalypse team and this is fantasy, this would be the beginnings of your resilient community who knows about carpentry, who knows mechanics, who knows security, who knows farming, who knows this. Now I, of course, know all of this,
and I can teach them if they ask night and they ask nice see the beast zombie zombie apocalypse team. Yeah. Mm-mm. You just gotta know that I'm the I'm I'm the boss. I'm the boss here. Alright? I don't need any of you other people in this community thinking you're the boss. No. Whoever will do it democratically, will vote.
Democracy is gay. It is. Oh, it is. Yeah. I'm I'm I'm down on democracy. Absolutely. Not a fan. It is no. Pluto. Alright. So water. What do you do what are you gonna do for water? You're asking me? Yes. Maximilian von Bittscher. My
current system is I've got reverse osmosis system in the house. I've got about a 100 gallon a 100 separate gallon sized water bottles. I've got a big water tank as, like, a spare water tank, which is, like, a couple of 100 gallons.
I've got another 85 gallon one on the roof. Nice. And then I've got I've got enough that, like, we lost a little bit of time. Got it. But I haven't got anything outside of that that's, like, super clever. But but I've got a fuck load of, like, bottled water, stuff like that. Alright.
So it rains on the North Pole. Rains constantly there. Yeah. Alright. Yeah. It's it's not that stable in the North Pole. It rains constantly there. So you have to know your inputs, your your water collection inputs, which I think that would be easy as fuck for you. Now for me, it it rains a lot here as well, but
it's a it's a completely different environment. So I have to know where I know I have rain collection through the roof on the asphalt roof, so that's that's not going to be the best form of of water for human consumption.
But I also have a well in my house. Now we're on city water, but this this was, like, the first house up here in this community, early nineteen hundreds. So it it had original well. It had it had a leach field.
Well, well, well. Well, well, well, well. But it's electric. It's an electric pump. So I'd have to have a generator running. And what if I run out of gasoline on my generator? So all your systems you think about this. All your systems are, of course, tied together.
So what am I gonna do if I have to run that pump off a generator? But it is large enough where I have rope and a bucket that I can actually get it down the well. It's this it's a the the casing on it is 12.5 inches. Do you remember a guy named LC Huddl?
Was was around a while ago. He was a well driller, and I had to have him special order me the cap for this thing because, of course, everything with my house is some kind of goofy thing. But you could take that cap off. You can get a small bucket down, and you can get water out.
So I was trying to think about all of these different systems. Like, yes, I have a well. I have city water. I have rain collection, but you can't you can't drink that water because it comes off of an asphalt roof. It's gonna make you sick. That's what that's what everybody says at least.
How am I gonna purify that water? Are you gonna run out of charcoal tablets? Do you have, you know, some kind of you have a reverse osmosis system. Does that run off electricity? Or is that is that passive?
My one? Yeah. Passive. Awesome. So you have to think about all of these different inputs. Now we've covered water. What else do we got? Food. Tools. Yep. Tools. What kind of what kind of tools do you have? Everything.
No, you don't. You do now, guess, probably. Yeah. Chainsaw. Everything. Okay. Chainsaw. What about multiple chainsaws, multiple hole saws, all Every every type of Alright. Thing you can imagine. That was a dumb question. I'm I'm not alright. We'll we'll move on. We'll move on from there.
Yeah. Hand tools. Yep. All of them. Alright. So in in any of these things alright. Go ahead. My my point I was gonna make on tools is skills important. Yeah. So,
like, there's no point in going getting all the tools if you don't know what you're doing and just, like, having a load of stuff that you've never used.
So I know my limits in the sense of, like, there are things that I would have no idea how to do. Like, if my truck goes wrong, I've got all the tools and most of the stuff to, like, fix it. Mhmm.
My skills end at mechanics. Like, I no fucking chance. Most other stuff I can do, like, most stuff around the house and building work and whatever I can do. But that would end. And so if it's good to have all the tools because they're a thing that especially if you buy quality stuff, they're extremely
useful, and they will hold value over time. Like, they're always fucking useful to have. So if you're gonna if you're gonna like, when we were at the top of the market, not that I'm some sort of genius trader or anything, but I fucking bought a load of gift cards and a shitload of tools. Because I was like, well, these are
you you can't fix your house with a Bitcoin. These are always gonna be useful. I need these. But you need to be friendly with people who can do the things you can't. So, you know, if if someone is electrician,
but they don't know how to do the mechanic stuff or they're very good at general building work, but they don't have to do the other two things.
If you can be friendly enough with people and and I kinda do this anyway of, like, look, I'll help you with some tiling or I'll help you with this, but can you do the electrics? Or can you, you know, you you switch around and help each other? Yeah.
You you that becomes You've you've you've flipping you're flipping houses and stuff is kind of giving you a lot of that. You know, how how to be a general contractor, but also how to be a general contractor who can step up and do, you know, the things when the guy doesn't show up and you've got a deadline. Yeah.
Yeah. But there's my my my basic point is that it comes back to relationships more is build those relationships and help people. By bond. Not because you're being nice. Love you, buddy. Bon. Love me too, mate. I just wanna say goodbye.
Gotta go. We'll listen to the last bit later. See you, everyone. Have a good one. We will. Have a good one too, Bon. Yeah. That so, like, building those relationships is useful anyway
in life. This is back to that point of, like, don't do stuff that only matters in the worst case scenario. Do stuff that matters in your normal life as well. And being friendly with a mechanic and being friendly with an electrician and being friendly with people who can fix your systems that you might not have time to work out.
Like, I'm not gonna go and work out my solar system. Like, that's a pointless thing for me because I'm retarded when it comes to that kind of stuff. But I could help out someone who can fix that system in lots of other ways, and then if shit is and we help each other.
In in in the fixing thing, you can have all the knowledge in the world. But for me who you know, like yesterday, I had to go out on this system and it's called a DDM 2,000 and it just converts fiber optics to to electrical signals. So it'd be like a o o c no. Not an o c three. O c three d to do a d s three. It feeds like t ones.
It's a way of feeding this is such this is so old. Anybody knows telecom. Like, Jesus, you guys are still doing t ones. But anyway, point is, this system is from the late nineties. And I've been working in the telecom industry in both military and civilian since 1995,
and I have worked on every freaking switchboard from switchboards that we had to you had to put in a card. If you wanted to program a loop, you know what I mean, like, line number one, line number two, line number three in these switchboard, you put in a punch card,
and then you press the button and it programmed from that punch card. Alright? I have I've worked on switchboards that you would, like, plug in a a plug and then ring somebody and a little cat eye would flip over, and then they would pick it up and an operator would, like, physically patch you through.
That's how old of telecom technology I have worked on from basic telephony to to high end 10 gig circuits. Alright? And everything in between. Now this this d d m 2,000 has been bouncing for weeks now.
Go out and fix it. Oh, it's a rectifier. It's not negative 48 volts. Oh, it's, you know, maybe it's the fiber, you know, going to the c o. Maybe the the the unit's overheating. You know, just all these different kinds of things.
And, basically, it's at that point, despite all of all of my knowledge throughout the years, they can log in to this thing and see what the alarms are. It came down to popping and swapping.
That's so much what troubleshooting is, is popping and swapping. Mhmm. So you could have your mechanic who knows everything in the world, but if he's like, I don't have this. I don't have this relay. We could try this relay. It could be one of four things.
I'm gonna need some some spare parts. So once again, spare parts, know your systems, and have spares for for commonly broken down things. So like back to back to telecom. When I was in the marine corps, when we would deploy each piece of equipment had a spares, you know, like, tote that that went along with it.
The this that's big switchboard that worked on was like a big as a shipping container. It had a whole cabinet full of spares built into it. Like, that field repair is pop and swap for the most part.
Because things beyond field repair, you're gonna do one or two things. You're going oh, I don't know. Jerry rig. I was trying to think of the the nice way to say this. Jerry rig something or pop and swap. That's gonna be the vast majority of of your repairs because anything else takes like a system. It takes supply chains
to fix were you not taking out parts and like machining parts? So Mhmm. Have spares. Know all of your system and have spares. Mhmm. Do you know we took it to the extreme when we bought trucks? We bought to exactly the same exactly the same spec.
So because my thinking is, well, at least worst case, you can turn two into one. Yep. Agree. Which is, like, it sorts the parts to some degree. It's not like a perfect system, but it rather than having, like, a whole garage full of parts that I may or may not need, just like, well, we've this is this is my backup. Yep.
And and simple too. Like, those those two vehicles Don't buy American. Don't buy American. You gotta buy Japanese. That's that's the big takeaway here is don't buy anything that's gay and poorly made. Buy something that's made properly in Japan.
That's rude. My my truck would crush your your trucks. Like, you could line them up and If it was not. Total them. Yes. It would. Let's do it. If it started and if it started, it would probably do that. Yeah. Thank you.
Okay. So so the rundown Simple systems. Simple tools. Keep it simple. You know, you didn't go for you Can I just summarize for the people? For the people. Can I just summarize for people who may be joining now? It's like for the people, mate.
It's such hard work. Is simple systems understand your systems. Know people who can fix your systems and you're friendly with and have parts to fix those systems. Mhmm. Worry about water.
Make sure you have your first aid, etcetera. The Rambo knives and all of that are good in theory, and you might look cool when you die. Parachute cord, bro. With it. Parachute cord bracelet. Look at that. Silly.
Having chickens for the most part is gay. Better off having a big chest freezer and and and a stock of food that will last you a month or so. Yeah. What else? What else have we covered? By the way, I've got a month worth food. Isn't it? You think you think I depend on it. I got a month's worth of food here, full.
I know you've got freezers full of full of beef and all that kind of stuff. I'm not you I'm not I'm not calling you gay. Just saying that if you think if you think if you think that having chickens and having a garden but not having the stock of food Yeah. Yes. Is Yeah. Is a solution,
that is gay and stupid. What I'm saying is Yeah. You'd be better off having the month worth of supply. But if you have the month worth of supply and you have chickens and you have fruit and you have time to do that and you like to do that because it's not a risk you should do that. Of time. No. Building wealth is Then fine.
That's not that's not gay. That's Yeah. Fine. So I I I can see I know this is is gonna happen. So and everybody on the government of Misfits, I'm sure, is is familiar with our friend Carl.
He's a permaculture expert, Michigan guy, has his own show now that he does. He's in like King and Oster. So if you're on Oster, over and find Carl. Yeah. So I would say something to him. Like, we were on a Meshadel call a couple months ago and it Solex
Solex Porter was on there and and our friend Carl. So those those new to the show, these these are good friends of of Max and I's. Yeah.
And we've had tons and tons of conversations in the Meshadel, and they've been on the show many times to kind of wax nostalgic about their philosophy on permaculture and life and and the Meshadel's and intentional communities, so on and so forth.
So I said to them a few months ago because you you you know, like, how hard I've been working forever. Mhmm. But especially, like, the past two years on alright. Now it's time for me to build wealth.
And I and I've said this I've said this before, like, I'm approaching the point where, like, I can only do this for so long because everything has been physical for me. That I depend on my my ability to lift things and jump around like a monkey and work for fourteen hours a day.
And well, how long can I do that? Yeah. And so now I really need to pivot into the intellectual and the wealth building side of things so I can have a legacy. And and then I I can't keep thinking, like, what if I die?
Do you does that happen to you? Do you do this now? Because, like, you you moved and your family unit and what if you die? I'm sure you think about this all the time. Yeah. I think about it all the time. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Every day.
Yes. Yeah. Every day. And I think the the best way, like, I could spend all my time making this garden perfect. And I can go ahead and fence this back area off and get some sort of I like these dwarf cows that my neighbor has down the street.
They don't take up a lot of space. So I could fence this back half off and and run cows. And I can really do this this homesteading thing. You mean goats? No. Cows. Dwarf Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Never They're not like just they're just like a little bit smaller. I don't know if it's called dwarf
cow. We'd have to ask Joe. Like a Shetland cow. Joel. No. Not not quite Shetland level small. You would know. I'd love a Shetland cow. Yeah. I bet you would. I could put that. They're they're they're a little these cows are a little on the smaller side.
And from what he's I've never had any of the beef, but he says the beef is just fine. Anyways, my point is I could spend all of my time and efforts doing all of that stuff. But I think I have the ability to build real wealth. And so what back to what our friend Carl would say is he would give you, like, an eight forms of capital speech.
You know, like, well, dude, if if you're sure that, you know, that's where you wanna point your wealth and that's where you spend your money and that's the that's that's the best use of your time, then you should do that, dude.
And that was more of a barn impression. The barn impression on the car was It was. Yeah. Yeah. I think kind of, yeah, go into each other a little bit. And so I I said to them to them in this call, like, I'm to this point in my life where I think I would be best off attempting to be wealthy.
Because I think I could achieve those other things if if I chose to, and then if I if but I am running out of time to become wealthy.
And then that's what I wanna pivot to when when I decide to retire is doing the cows and the chicken and feeding feeding my community. But right now, I'm at this almost at the zenith where my my physical abilities are starting to to plateau.
My mental abilities are are kind of high. My my eight forms of capital are pretty high. My my social capital is really high. It's time to trigger that and and use it and to build wealth, and I think that's the best use of my time. And I and I think that you feel this way too. And that's why you're saying, like, chickens are gay or
a garden is gay. And in in a sense, they are gay. But, I mean, you can't let go of it completely. You I think you have to keep a little bit of a fire burning on on all of this stuff. What do you think about that?
Yeah. Yeah. Bit of both. I'm just saying that everyone has limited time, and you are it depends. Like, if you have no fucking job and you don't have other skills that you can use to earn money and you're like, okay.
I can build out a chicken coop today, and I can do this. You're you're very handy and, like, you've got land and you've got time Mhmm. Then that probably is the best use of your time.
If you're a lawyer charging a thousand dollars an hour and you have clients coming out of your ears and you can earn a fuckload of money, you are much better off dealing with those clients and paying someone to do that shit if you want it done or just having,
you know, multiple freezers full of food and having all the backups and all that kind of stuff. Like, it's just it's it's purse it's depending on the person, and all I'm saying is, like, there's usually other stuff that's less interesting to do and is less fun and exciting
to do. And and it and it it doesn't it doesn't look as good on a tweet. Like, look at me. I I I did the chickens. Every time I put a chicken post on on Twitter, it it it goes bangers.
But I'm not doing a post and like, hey. We just we just met with these potential investors or this politician or, you know, like, big things that are happening in my life. I'm not gonna tweet about that.
That's not gonna be anything. Or just or just other things happening. Yeah. There's other shit you can normally do in life. There's there's normally, like, five, ten things that you, like, put off because either you're scared of doing them,
you're you really don't wanna do them, they're boring, and you can do more interesting stuff. And it it just gets put off, and I'm just saying, like, sometimes when we do things, and I'm guilty of it as well, it's actually not the most effective use of time. And when you have kids
and work and all the other things you've gotta do in life, like, anyone who has those things knows having any time is fucking difficult. And, like, normally for most blokes, like, taking a shit in peace for five minutes is as close to peace as as any man gets. So I take a shit like this. Yeah.
It's like it's the best. It's it's just it's the best thing. It's the it's the calmest moment of your day. So hence, use that time wisely and and sometimes do the hard things. Like, I've I've spent a lot of time doing shit over the last few months that I would so much rather, like, get out into my garden.
True. Yeah. Loads of plans for there's loads of stuff that I'd and be like, oh, I wanna get out there. But, no, I'm gonna sit, and I'm gonna fucking do the boring stuff that I have to do behind a laptop
because that's actually back to, like, what happens if you die. Well, what happens if I die and I've done the garden nicely and I've got chickens and I've got cows? My missus isn't gonna fucking know how to do that shit. She's also not gonna know how to do all the Bitcoin stuff.
And so what's actually gonna be useful is, like, well, can she buy food? Can my kids still have, like, school fees paid? Like, can there there's just there's stuff that, like, outside of a disaster scenario, there's just a much better use of time.
And Yes. Yes. That's that's the question is to look at yourself in the mirror and say, am I laughing or am I actually doing even if it's hard, the best thing that I can do, and I think a lot of the time we fool ourselves,
myself included. Like, every day I have to slap myself and be like, come on, mate. You're fucking not really this isn't actually the best thing you can do for your family. It's just you think it's fun a bit more fun.
Yeah. Yeah. Like, I I like I like going out in the garden and doing stuff. But if I were to die, that garden would be a dried up, shriveled fucking mess. Those chickens would be dead. Yeah.
Yes. They they would they would run through all of the food that's that's downstairs in the basement, in the pantry, in the in the freezers. And I I that's the my biggest fear in life. You couldn't even run you couldn't even run this fucking house
without without this brain. Like, there may be one other guy that that my my my partner, Andy, has a similar brain, and we always I've talked about this in the show a million times. We always, like, build these systems together, you know, while we're at work. What if we did this? Well, what if you actually had your water heater?
You know, we we designed this whole what a hot water boiler because he's got, you know, wood burner in his basement and, you know, so I know how to run that that hot water boiler apparatus because we we planned it together. But anyways, back from my foot, like, I die tomorrow,
this place is fucked. My family is fucked. And then that's I can be as resilient as I want. I can know all this stuff, and I can have this network of people and the zombie apocalypse team. If I'm dead, the this the I I hope they don't listen to the show.
Sarah and the girls are fucked. They're fucked. And that's my fault because I've always I've always been like, I'll I'll just do it. I'll just get it done. I I would try my best to, like, bring their girls.
You know? I'm just waiting for this day, like, where they start to get boyfriends and be like, oh, great. Listen, kid. Come on. You're my slave now. I'm gonna teach you everything I know, and you basically work for me.
That's that's the point that I'm gonna get is to make sure these girls are really nice and pretty, and let's get over some strapping young men that that wanna work hard, and I will enslave them pretty much. Good luck.
Hey. Thanks, pal. Really appreciate that. How how long do you wanna go how long do you wanna go on on this? Do you just wanna try to keep it now? I somewhere to go? I well, I think well, two things. I need a piss really before I come back. I get a piss too. An hour. Yeah.
I'm so in sync. I can't think we haven't got to the questions. We need to get to the questions. Okay. I went over pause. That that we have to do. Okay. Just hold Question. Tie a knot in it. I know one of the quest did I did you where they at?
Should I open it was on Twitter, wasn't it? I I I brought him over. There's only only two people. Only one person had a question. And that was my my friend Rick Rick yeah. Rick Thomas. No. Montan Montani.
Okay. Then open up Twitter. I'm gonna go over Montani's Yeah. I am. Question first. Yeah. You do know him. Yeah. So basic basically, he asked how can we, in the in the meat space, keep our connections open?
And then how, like, electronic communication, how do we keep things open? Now we have had an I think a whole entire segment on the Meshtadel on jeez. Now I've forgotten so much of that stuff. What's that like? Oh, Meshtastic.
That's the thing. Mhmm. And we went over having, like, UHF radios, and we went over ham radios. And I think that the whole the whole shit hits the fan radio communication, UHF, and ham radio, I think, are the way to go. The mesh tastic, I did go over it, but I I never implemented it because it's not like
it's not something I can easily understand and spin up and get other people to easily understand and spin up. And so a lot of people in Bitcoin understand this concept that we may all be true believers. But if I wanna go down to the farmer's market before Square now,
everybody looked at me like I had three heads if if I wanted to spend any kind of Bitcoin. And so but just but just wouldn't. I just wouldn't do it. So for the the communication side of things, I think you have to go with something that that other people can use.
Other people outside of your, like, your nerdy Bitcoin freedom sovereignty privacy on government misfits type community. So I like off the shelf stuff. I think that the UHF radios, you can get those pretty cheap.
Ham radio, if you wanna be like a hub. We even talked about that in the mesh adult at one point, having like a relay between Shadrach, myself, and Carl in Michigan. And we had, like, mapped out the elevation if I could be like a repeater for them to do the ham radio thing. But once again, that's a lot of money,
and that's a lot of time. And there's only gonna be a couple people that are gonna pick that particular trajectory
to to go on. So what I would rather do is just keep going off the shelf kind of stuff, build your build your community through talking to people all the time. Is isn't that the the most difficult thing? Like, you could have all this technology. If you're not willing to call somebody on the phone
and talk to them for a while and then stay in touch with them, which I have been really, really bad at lately, There's probably fifteen, twenty people that I that I should be calling, you know, at least bimonthly to stay in contact with them. It doesn't take much to send out a text, to go on Telegram,
to tweet out somebody. Like, I I was cleaning out my basement and I found this quartz crystal thing that this guy, BTC Delica, had sent out to to a lot of people. He was mining for quartz, I think, in Arkansas.
And he would send you, like, this little thing, like, block height, whatever this and this. This is when this quartz was found, and it's kind of, you've been around for a long time, and it's hard, you know, like, Bitcoin is is hard kind of thing. And then he just disappeared off the face of the earth.
And so I even tweeted out like, hey, wherever you are, you know, I I appreciate your time, you know, on this earth and and for the Bitcoin community and stuff. But that's the kind of thing that you have to do. It's just every once in a while just cycle through all of the people that you know and and stay in contact with him.
Now what I think about terrestrial communication, you know, normal communication, of course, I think fiber is is the best. That's gonna be your fastest.
That's gonna be your most reliable. But Starlink is really, really coming up. I don't know if you have you have a Starlink or do you have a Starlink? Yep. Oh, good. Well, I have the kit. I have the kit. It's not set up yet. Oh, set it up. It it takes minutes. So in in a lot of this kind of sounds funny being a terrestrial telecom guy,
but we have a mobile Starlink unit in in our splicing van. So a lot of times, and you know this, when I'm out I'm out building the telecom network, so it doesn't exist before I build it.
Yeah. And so I'm in a lot of rural areas building that out and we throw that Starlink unit out of the van and it acquires a signal just like that. And we are up and running. Yeah. So I think everybody should have a backup Starlink.
It's excluding a a giant solar flare or or something happening. For the normal non shit hits the fan situations and most shit hits the fan situations, I think Starlink is is just fine. Yeah. Yeah. But if you wanna go a little bit more rogue, I think that the ham radio is is a pretty cool thing, and I think everybody should like
it's worked for a long time. You know, these old systems that we've forgotten about, they they work just fine.
And then as far as keeping everybody up and just stay in contact with with people. And I know Montani who who was the one that asked that question. I owe him a phone call. He'd reached out a couple weeks ago. Hey. We need to catch up.
So let's do it. Okay. Well, thanks for the question. The only other question we got was from Bubba. Yeah. And he asked, what's the meaning of life and why? Go ahead and go ahead and you answer that one, Max.
What is the meaning of life and why? I think leave the world a better place leave the world a better place because you've touched it. Like, do things that improve it in some way. Wow.
Have children if you can. Yes. Yeah. And make them a better version of yourself. So, like, a a two point o improved bug fixed version Mhmm. Of yourself. And and try and go to bed every night knowing you've ticked all the things that you could do that are in your control,
that are reasonably possible. And so the ball is in the court of other people to do their part, and it's not things aren't left on you. And outside of that, I don't really know. Like, if you can do those things, I think you're probably probably doing alright. What about you? What's the
Yeah. I I I think Oh, and and support BitPoint ten, obviously. Yes. Yes. We have to do that. Yeah. Oh, and get you forty hours a week. I I think, you know, God have a have a personal relationship with God.
Have a public relationship with God, and I think that's what a lot of people don't do. Like, oh, I'm I'm so it's just gonna be a personal relationship that that God has children. And any parent knows that they want their children to get along.
It's the most fucking important thing. When you're not getting along ever happen. Isn't it? That doesn't no. It never happens. But when it does, don't you and your wife look at you like, oh my god. Imagine what our lives would be like if they got along like this all the time. So cute.
So God feels God feels the same way about his children that he that he wants you to have a relationship with him publicly because that means you you through your family have a relationship with God. You through your community have a relationship with God.
That that's what I think The true meaning of life and everything kind of falls falls down from that to just That's nice. Think about your relationship as a child of God, how you want your children to act. That's how God wants you to act, and that's the meaning of life is is to be an an obedient child to God.
Before we close out, because we're probably both gonna piss ourselves at this point. Mhmm. Yes. Resilience. I'm thinking about it's easy to be resilient or to think that you're resilient.
You know, a lot of you you know, I've had a shitty life. I've had a lot of challenges in life. I know that you have as well. Mhmm. I just know tons of people that have been through through death and disease and tragedy and, you know, resilience is just getting up and keeping going.
And just reading the tweets from from Keone and Lauren over the past couple days Mhmm. Where he's being transferred from FPC Morgantown to Oklahoma to not even know where he's going after Oklahoma.
And, you know, reading reading his his stuff, you know, the letters from the inside that we did on the show, I was like, man, this guy's this guy's tough. You know, he he he's getting to prison. He's he's got his his job, and he's and he's making connections and relationships in there.
And he's just like, hey. This is what it is, and this is my daily routine, and I've made a daily routine because that's how you keep your sanity and guys that have been here for a while. You know, the one the doctor that he befriended in there, take the advice from them,
and then they rip him the fuck out. He adjusts quickly, turns himself in, adjusts quickly to this lifestyle. I'm gonna make the most of it. I'm I'm I'm gonna write letters. I'm I'm I'm gonna, you know, educate myself on new things and read books and Take pride in my job that I'm doing. Yes. That's right. Cleaning toilets. Still
the best. And having his system for cleaning the toilets. And and so in any situation, like, what a resilient human being Keone is and rip him the fuck out of there and send him over to Oklahoma and then not not even know where where are you gonna go after that? Don't know. Figure it out.
Why'd you move me? I don't know. With the government. But he's still gonna continue on. He's still gonna take a breath. His heart's still gonna beat. He's still gonna yearn for freedom, and he's he's gonna adjust. So just look at this guy's story. Look at Lauren's story throughout all this.
She's never given up. Yeah. She's been incredible. So those two people are resilient, and it didn't take a garden. Yeah. And it didn't take a fucking Rambo knife and a parachute cord. It took strength of spirit and whatever mortal foundations that they have.
So if you want inspiration, look at Keoni and Lauren. That's inspiration for resilience. Yeah. And after you've taken the inspiration, make sure you share the tweets. Make sure you donate some stats if you can.
If you are religious, keep them in your prayers. And, yeah, just do what you can for those people. Alright, pal. We've had an extremely bad connection. I'm not sure if it's my side or your side, but it's been Really? Been hideous.
Yeah. I hope I hope that the recording is good. It should it should be fine. As we close it out, I think that's a good way to to round it out. I'm gonna do my outro and just wanna say thank you to everyone who's been supporting the show.
