Bitesize Bitcoin is brought to you by FixRigs
In this installment of Bitesize Bitcoin we cover an academic paper written by Norsk Bitcoin @BitcoinNytt, titled Harnessing Bitcoin ASICS for Home Heating, Turning Household Heating into income. In the paper Norsk Bitcoin examines how the electricity bills for households can be affected by heating their homes using Bitcoin mining servers as opposed to resistive heaters the study examines ASIC earnings electricity prices and energy consumption from January 2018 to December 2021. Will soon be posted on Ungovernable Misfits.

This month's Pleb Miner in the Wild is Chet
Chet is an integral part of Pleb Miner Month. He has become like a brother to me over time. I have grown to really appreciate him as a miner and as a friend. Chet is now manager of a hydro mine in Kentucky
Bitcoin Policy UK is attempting to get S9s shipped over to the UK to demonstrate the alternative uses and benefits of Bitcoin mining. Help them Hash the Torch by visiting their Geyser fund.
It's hot Mac! You text us? Yeah, stay tuned. That's the rumor. How about it? It's so hot that miners are willing to turn off the steam
because their contacts are always cool. Again, it's a nice cloud for them. You get a nice cloud for them. Hot, hot, hot, hot, hot! It's going to be hot in Texas, and it is hot in Texas. Thank you to Shedminer.
There's a guy who changed his name from whatever it was to Shedminer, so I won't reveal who that is, but he made that for us. That's very nice. It's hot here too. Are you getting paid to turn off your air conditioner?
No. We don't even have air conditioners here. Wouldn't that be nice? It would be nice, but yeah, we don't have them. Every year it gets hot enough that everyone complains. Everyone's like, "I can't sleep. I was too hot."
"I need to buy a fan because you put it in the garage and lose it every year." And we all just sort of bitch and moan, but no one ever buys an air conditioning unit. Sometimes you just sit in the car and just cool down.
It's pathetic. You're all very pathetic. You're not a first world nation. No, we're not. Well, we can't afford to plug one in, it's too expensive. Can you imagine? No, I can't. It's like a second mortgage, just a fucking plug one in.
I wouldn't have all these miners in the house, that's for sure. Is it hot where you are? It is not hot where I am because we have Canadian fires. Hey, hold on first, let me test two, two, two.
Unfortunately. My track doesn't show any bars. You got no bars. I don't think that you can trust this app. How's that? Yeah, definitely heard that. That was impressive. Thank you very much.
That was throaty. It should be fine. Worst case, I just boost it. It is not hot here because of the Canadian wildfires, I assume. My garden looks pathetic. It's had no sun. It has been cool, but my miners are loving it.
I'll take what I can get. What's your take on all of that? Is this like a man-made thing? Someone's doing it for some reason? Or is it just literally something that's happened naturally? Everybody saw that video, I think, where like the guys going over the satellite view and
then boom, instantly there's like 12 fires in northeast Canada at the same time. Yeah, and yesterday it was hazy, my phone said the breath, the air quality was poor. Okay. Poor air quality.
Of course, I was fine. You're not going to die. It's just a little hazy. Everybody's okay. Calm the fuck down. But it has cooled everything off here. We haven't had a summer yet, but TX just has.
At least it will stop climate change. Cool. Thank goodness. You got the change. You got a hot Texas, which is no change at all. And you got a cool northeast, which is also no change at all.
So, what does this mean for hash rate? Has it had a major effect? Because I know a lot of the miners are up there. It's had a dip. Yeah. Same with the cold snap in December. We had a dip in hash rate because it was super freaking cold and everybody had to turn off down there in Texas.
And the same thing has happened in the summer in Texas. So, as we've been talking about for a long time, Texas is kind of moving the Bitcoin hash rate. That can be a good thing, I guess, because Texas is an easy place to deal with as far as electricity is concerned.
But once again, you don't want all your eggs in one basket. The rates are good. Miners have a good relationship with ERCOT. There's lots of capacity down there. Texas power producers know how to deal with Bitcoin miners.
Unlike a lot of other places, you go to someplace in North Carolina and talk to Duke Energy. They don't even want to deal with you at all. So, that's why everybody's down in TX. But we've got a long show here, a good show, a thorough show, so Max, why don't we start the show?
Bitcoin is close to becoming worthless. Now what's the Bitcoin? The greatest scam in history.
Bitcoin will go to fucking zero. Hello, welcome to Pledminor Monthly, episode 7. Max, we have a shitload of fountain boosts. Last episode was the most boosted Pledminor Monthly that we have had.
I'm just reading through them on our notes here, which I haven't been able to see in my fountain app still, so it's pretty awesome to see them. Some big boosts, big, big boosts. It's very exciting, Oscar Mary, get Max's thing fixed.
I'm sure it's partly his fault. It's almost definitely my fault, but please, mate, we're in this top 10 all the time. We're trying to chill, but I literally cannot read anything, send anything, receive anything, view anything, do anything.
All I can do is just open and be told an error has occurred. So, yeah, it would be really nice to be able to see these, but I can see them now. Let's read through what we've got. Alright, first one is from Chris Luss.
77,777 sets. Oh, baller. Yeah. Great episode, have some lucky sets. Lucky sevens, thank you, Chris Luss. Thank you very much. At Late Stage Hoddle, 50,000 sats. This episode reminded me I forgot to boost last month.
Keep up the good work. This episode also reminded me to ask you fuckers how y'all got a sticker on the ASIC for those videos. Hmm. And then, y'all kind of referenced me, but didn't refer to me as the real shed miner.
It seems the shed miners will be taking over barns crown. Also, this is a new alias I made up. Don't tell anyone if those drunk barn miners can't give a news report next time then call on shed miner weather report.
Well, thanks very much. We did call on you shed miner, and it is hot and ticked us. Thank you very much for arranging the sticker bomb. Is shed miner like a fork, effectively, of barn miner?
No? No, I don't want to call that a fork. It's debatable whether barn miners barn is a barn or a garage or a shed. So shed miner, barn miner BSB. Shed miner BSB. Shed miner has been part of pleb miner month for a long time.
We just changed his name. He's a very important part. I love you shed miner. All credit goes to you for the sticker bomb on the between two ferns show. And you did a great job with the Texas thing.
And I love you there. I love you too. I love you too. And thank you for the science. This is late stage hodl continued. Another 50,000 sets. Fucking hell. Read the other boost first. We did.
I ran out of room. It's going rain. Also, being serious now, you can't possibly shut this shit down. If anything, these two boots are to help you to keep going. Don't expect this much each month, you greedy bastards.
That's right. We teased maybe we wouldn't do pleb miner month anymore just so we could get more sats out of you. And it worked. Suckers. Yeah. So do you think we're going to carry on the show next month or not?
Maybe we shouldn't. But I guess maybe we'll have a massive amount of sats coming. I guess it just depends on the boosts. Yeah. It's just so much work, isn't it? Just, uh, we'll see. We'll see.
Mr. CD Brown. Three. Underschool. 21,000 and 21 sats. We won. Bitcoin wins. Full stop. Thank you. Yeah, buddy. Next is 406 Bitcoin. That's Jason Vaughn. 21,000 sats. Thanks for sharing my story.
Senate bill 178 is a big fuck you to Missoula County commissioners and their bullshit Bitcoin fud Bitcoin doesn't give a fuck agreed at fundamentals 10,101 sats. First time listener. Great show.
Spitting facts. Why isn't it too full? Is that how we've decided we say it? Why isn't it too full? Why isn't it too full? Why isn't it too full? 10,000 sats max big booty bitches. Hmm. Hmm.
Agree. How were the big booty bitches in Miami? Oh, they were great. Have a run down. Were they? Couldn't get enough. Oh, you never can. That's the thing. It's Moorish. Right. You think it was a big booty?
Well, that should be enough for you. Yeah. It makes you want more. There was a response to that max big booty bitches and Norman remnants at where? The answer. The answer is Miami Norman.
Jeez. The next one is Ape Mithrendir. 7,777 sats. Lots of sevens here. Reverse sponsors. Quite the innovation. Thank you very much, Ape Mithrendir. We have to be creative here. I suppose it's not technically reverse sponsors, is it yet?
Because they're not physically charging us to do it. Yeah. Unsued us yet. That would be the full reverse. Yes. They're just raping me. Because they're not raping you. They're just raping me at the moment.
So we're sort of halfway there. They're a half reverse sponsor. Fuck you, Compass. At Piers 1000 sats. Love the motherfucking intro. LMAO? What's that mean? I don't know what the kids these days in their acronyms.
You'll have to look out on it. I was going to say that one was pies. But Piers probably makes more sense, doesn't it? Yeah. I've never entered a spelling bee in one, but I'm pretty sure pies.
Would be with an S. It's enough. It's enough for you. You and your spelling bee bragged a few. Next one is Butter Bitcoin, 921 sats. Roll the statistics. Go fuck yourself. All right, Butter.
Statistics. I'm going to tell you the basics for hashing with basics. Bitcoin, mine, and statistics. What are we talking about here? Statistics. Statistics. I'm going to tell you the basics for hashing with basics.
Bitcoin, mine, and statistics. Statistics. What are we talking about here? Statistics. Statistics is brought to you by Lincoin Mining and their suite of products. Combine the power of Lincoin Pool, Lincoin's ASIC management software, and Rails.
Rails enables miners to make real-time decisions based on a number of real-time metrics. ASIC management software performs these tasks to enable you to maximize your hash rate on their pool.
It's like a triumvirate of products, Max. Here at PledMiner Monthly, we use Lincoin Lens to make customizable charts from stats like hash value, price, difficulty, transaction fees as a percentage of blocked reward, and hash price.
Global hash rate on a 30-day moving average is 368 exahash. I have a big announcement, Max. Lincoin Pool's big announcement is they broke one exahash a couple days ago. Ooh, that's big time.
Breaking it, moving on, moving on up to the east side. That's big boy shit. Yeah, it is. That's gangsta. Congratulations, Medi, and the Lincoin team, because it isn't just him. There's other people there, obviously.
Is Medi a thug? Straight up. He's a straight-up G. He got the little pixelated sunglasses floating over his face right now. A little blunt, little split going into his mouth. Congratulations.
That's pretty cool. Deal with it. Over the past month, the highest one-day moving average hash rate was almost 430. I don't know why I laugh every time. These are goofy. 432 exahash on June 8th.
Smooth out the graph a bit as we do, and look at the seven-day moving average. The highest was 376 exahash, and that shook up over a few days, and moved way out. Our 60-day is 368. It was 350.
So, this means I'm definitely going to win our bet. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Mm-hmm. You're a winner. You win spelling bees. You win bets. Do you feel bad that you put half your stash on the line?
Oh, I didn't put shit on the line. Go back and listen to it. But it's going to be pretty soon, I think. We'll see. We'll see if it's a really hot summer. We're going to talk about this later on in the episode, but if we plateau because of machine deployment is kind of deployed, you know, all of the previous gen gear has been replaced for
the most part, you know, something like that. The failure rate of some of these bit-main machines with their aluminum hashboard is so great, just all kinds of different things can happen.
What did you say the failure rate was, something like one in every 20 or something? Oh, I don't remember, and I don't have anything here in the show notes as to the number. I remember being bad.
There's a guy named Indigo Hoddle, N-D-G-O Hoddle, who put out some stats on that, and then anecdotally, what might have been Chet, getting some of these bit-main hydros, the failure rate was like 5%.
Yeah, I think that was the number. Go back and listen to it as in the last show, and then obviously boost. But yeah, I think it was... Yeah, I think it was 5%. That's massive. Yeah. What if cores were like that?
Some of them are, if it's a Hyundai or Kia. They're pretty good, actually. What? Yeah, and Kia's pretty good. Interesting. Yeah, in England, it might be different there, but I think... Oh, yeah, they're on the factory floor at Kia.
That's what's going to England. Put the good stuff in there. No, no, like Kia Kia here. I think when you buy one, you get... I think it's 5 year unlimited mileage warranties on them. Oh, I think here they do 100,000.
Maybe it's 100,000 here as well. Anyway, we're not here to talk about Korean vehicles, Max. Well, what if I've had a back-hander to shill them? Okay, think about that. Yeah, go to Kia.com, get your shitty vehicle, the high interest rate.
There you go. You can back-end all of the interest payments, too. Yeah, just pay it at the end. Balloon. Okay, moving on. Transaction fees as a percentage of block reward. Currently, we are at 4.47% for transaction fees as a percentage of block reward.
As an average for the month. Some notable days throughout the month are May 29th, 8.87%. June 1st, 8.32, June 6th, 10.85. And the lowest was 3.39 on June 17th. So we didn't get any wizardry there.
Do you miss it? You hardly noticed it. It was just a couple days. We've got a good tweet here from Lingcoin Mining. I'm talking about a lot of Lingcoin talk. But what they did in their Twitter account was examine three different days throughout the past six months and looked at hash value and hash price.
So their account here says Bitcoin miners get a relief with a pump in price. So that was nice. We were over 30 for a little bit. I don't know if we still are. But there are more factors to consider than BTC per dollar, like hash value and hash price.
Hash value. We talk about this statistic a lot, but it is the amount of Bitcoin you are awarded for your hash rate per day. The hash price is the dollar amount in Bitcoin for your hash rate per day.
So they examined three different days, starting on December 23rd. If you remember December 23rd, once again we talked about at the beginning of the show, it was very cold in the United States and hash rate had gone down a little bit.
So Bitcoin price was in the dumps. That day it was 16,000. Each hash price was you got $61 per peta hash per day. That's not great. Bitcoin price compared to the next few stats. But okay, if you were immediately selling those 360,494 sats.
So right now we are at about 2,250,000 sats per peta hash per day. At that time you were getting 362,000. If you just care about the sites, then that was a good ton. Right. The difficulty at that time was 35.36.
Right now we are in the 50s. Let's fast forward three months to March 23rd. Price of Bitcoin was 27,000. Miners were getting $77 a day per peta hash, but received 80,000 less sats compared to the three months prior.
Difficulty had jumped to 46.84 trillion. That's a 32% increase in three months. It's actually fucking mental. It is mental. You know, we were joking around the other month when I was like, oh, yeah, what is it?
What is it after we do X hashes? What's the next? What's the next thing? And then we had to look it up. Zeta, wasn't it? Yeah, yeah. Zeta hash. And I was like, oh, how long did we get there?
Well, I don't know. I mean, it could literally be like a year or two. It's fucking crazy. And then what? It would be cool, though, just to say, like, yeah, Bitcoin network has a Zeta hash.
Yeah, what happened? We go another three months. Bitcoin's at 30,000. And that was just recently 30,000, 666. They say, hope you're not superstitious. 666. You know what I mean? No, what's that meant?
It's about to devil market a beast. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, hash price, 77,000. I'm sorry. Yeah, 77 dollars per peta hash per day. You get less SATs, but it's greater in value. All three of these instances didn't have outstanding transaction fees, though.
1223 transaction fees as a percentage of block reward were lowly 1.96. Not that many people selling at 16,000 something. March 24th, they were 4.92. And on June 23rd, they were 4.54%. But May 7th, as we talked about on that last show, seemingly the peak of wizard mania, the chart even looks like a wizard's hat.
Bitcoin price is 27,000. Hash value is 446,795. So that is double what you'd normally get in SATs for that day. And hash price is $124 per peta hash per day. With those transaction fees, you had a killer day out of those six months period.
But you didn't get a lot of those killer days. I hope you enjoyed that guy. You didn't. Because of who? Come piss mining. There we go. That was our reverse shill, late Mythrend, dear. We did it.
We managed to weasel our way into it. Guess who we got here in studio with us today? Big booty bitches? Mmm, pretty much. What is up, players? I just flew back from my ME and boy are my arms tired.
Hey, heck me out. I already started off with a banger of a joke. Why is his arms tired, do you think? Because he flew. Max. Like a bird. Like a bird. Yeah. That's nice. Wow, Cat. Alright.
What's up, buddy? Before my real joke, I want everyone to know that I will be in my ME. This July 25th through the 27th at mining disrupt. Come by and see me at the Lynn Coen booth number 261.
We will get drunk. Okay, buddy. Alright. He's got a taste for the sauce now, isn't he? He sure does. He wants to get drunk at booth number 261. You know what, buddy? I accept your invite.
I will also be there at mining disrupt with you at the Lynn Coen booth number 261. Sounds like a bouncy. Yeah. I finally get to party with body. Awesome. You got a joke for us, buddy? Okay, boys.
Here we go. A skeleton walks into a bar and says, "Hey, bartender. I will have one beer and a mop." I like your body. Charge. Very good, buddy. It was a good joke. Yeah, that is good.
And a mop, see me at mining disrupt for more killer bad jokes. We will. I will. I'll see your body. Yeah, thanks, mate. I really appreciate you as always. We'll have to do a FaceTime call with body.
Next up is Bite Size Bitcoin, but before we get into that, we want to talk about Bite Size Bitcoin's sponsor, Fixrigs. Max, I don't have an ad read written for Fixrigs this time because I just want to talk to you about reputation.
Okay. Trust? Mm-hmm. There's some corporate buzzwords for you. Ready? Blockchain. No, not that time. Web 3.0. Stop it. You stop it right now. AI. This is a Bitcoin mining podcast. I don't want to hear any of that shit.
Go on. Trust? Integrity? Honor? Mm. Keep going. Good looks. Yeah, they do have all of our sponsors. And we've said this last year, all of our sponsors are extremely good looking. Top shacking skills.
Mm-hmm. Yep. Not just humping for 30 seconds. No. You got to get in there. Go ahead. Get in there. I need like credibility. Mm. I like that. It's a good word for English people to say. Credibility.
Credibility. Let's say. Perfect. Relationships. Cenergies. You know it. Cenergies. Come on then. So let's tell me about why fix rigs have these Cenergies. So many in the Bitcoin mining world, it just seems like it's like all a bunch of Chinese scammers.
Mm-hmm. Or somebody else out of a facility here. And yes, they may be able to repair gear, but they have no way to communicate with you. There's no a bedside manner, so to speak. They're mindless, soulless, faceless.
Fix rigs is far from that. Fix rigs is a mining repair facility that is working on all of these aspects of running a great business while working on all the aspects of your Bitcoin mining server.
What I'm trying to say, Max, is they're not just fixing your stuff or not fixing your stuff or getting an amalgam of different parts and putting them together and sending them back to you as a working machine with some kind of Frankenstein working machine.
Fix rig is building a good reputation within this industry as a repair facility. And I'm getting a lot of first hand accounts of, you know what, I've heard that this facility does this and that, and I don't like that, but I actually heard fix rigs is pretty straight up.
Mm-hmm. And that's something you can't, I don't know, that's something you can't buy. You can buy though, can't you? Because we've established that you do pay fix rigs for their work now, so you can go and buy it.
But what a lovely thing to be able to buy. That's what I like that. Like, if I'm dealing with people, I want to deal with a person and actually be able to contact a human being. I don't want to write an email to some automated thing that gives me some fucking estimate that they don't stick to and then I'm chasing and fucking around.
That time and stress is not something I want to be dealing with, so if I can get in contact with someone and they say they're going to do something and they do it, I'll be using them again.
It sounds like that's what's happening. I'm very pleased to have them as a sponsor, and that feels good, doesn't it, when you've been at this a lot longer than I have, but when somebody gives you a first-hand account that, "Hey, I really like foundation devices or I really like fix rigs."
That feels good, but like, "Oh, thank God we made the right choice." Yeah, it does. Let's move on to Bite Size Bitcoin, Maximilian von Bittenstein. So begin with, what is Bitcoin? Then Bit-47, a lot of people are familiar with lightning, and liquid is effectively layer two.
But one, two, nine. What is taproot? Florian taproot, that's the first new protocol grade since Zagwet. Difficulty adjustment, how do mnemonic seed words work? UTXO management. That's my favorite one, Max.
UTXO management. It's quite nice, isn't it? Yeah, it's so smooth. This episode's Bite Size Bitcoin is a bit different, Max. We know a guy named Norsk Bitcoin, that's @Bitcoinnytt. He just published a thesis on Bitcoin mining and capturing waste heat.
I had something else planned for this Bite Size Bitcoin segment in the typical style that we do it, where we present the Bite Size Bitcoin series because I was absolutely blown away by this paper.
It's titled "Harnasing Bitcoin A6 for Home Heating, Turning Household Heating Into Income." This is an important part of the plebminor movement because without harnessing that waste heat, a lot of small-scale home miners are not profitable.
It's the great levela. It's also the great leveler in relationships with your loved one in the home that you have an excuse for this noise, not much noise, there's ways to deal with that, and the bill.
It just enables you to justify it in a conversation like, "Hey, well, you're nice and warm in the wintertime, aren't you?" Remember last winter, we had to wear full coats and you were shivering.
I told you you couldn't turn the heating on, "Well, look now, you're roasty toasty." Thank you, dear. I love you. Yeah, that's exactly how it goes. And scene. Bravo. Lovely. In the abstract of this, he says, "The purpose of this research is to examine how the electricity bill for households in Norwegian city."
And I'm not going to say the city, I'm going to keep his anonymity there, "can be affected by heating using Bitcoin ASICs. The data set contains weekly observations of ASICs, earnings, electricity prices, and energy consumption from January 2018 to December 2021.
The results show that current households use most of their electricity consumption for space heating by replacing resistive heating, which is common in panel heaters and underfloor heating with ASICs, households may end up with a negative electricity bill, i.e., having an income associated with heating their homes.
The reason why this document is important, Max, is because it's done in an academic way. Show me the science. Trust the science. Well, show me the documentation. Well, where's your proof?
Oh, it's anecdotal. My bill was less. You can talk to me or a number of other homeowners that heat their homes with ASICs, and we can give you a lot of stats here and there. But to be able to present somebody with here is all this research done over a three-year period.
And not just China mining exodus where global hash rate was real low and difficulty dropped. This is over a period of time, like when the S9 initially came out earlier, over a period of time where the value of the S9 was a lot lower, where we had a lot of different ups and downs in Bitcoin price.
So it isn't just this trajectory upward in Bitcoin value. There's all kinds of fluctuations here in this data set. So a lot of the flood that would come to you, "Well, what do you do when Bitcoin is really low?
What do you do when difficulty is high?" I mean, you have a lot of different data set within this paper to fall back on and present to somebody not just in a home situation, not just to your wife, but to a municipality, to larger entities and explain to them, "Well, here's an academic paper that says that Bitcoin
mining is a good way to heat your home. You will do well financially." So there's a lot of research and data sets in this paper, and obviously I can't go over it all because it is 30-something pages long.
But we are going to put this up on ungovernable misfits in a way that obviously obfuscates who North's Bitcoin is because some of this has his personal information and the town that he chose to examine in Norway, but initially starts off with defining some terms that are
good in the bite-sized Bitcoin aspect because that's what we do here in bite-sized Bitcoin is we want something that's palatable for the normie and palatable for the pleb and a way to communicate between those two forces.
So he goes over some terms, hash, what is an ASIC, hash rate, hash price, mining difficulty, lock reward, of course we talk about all these things on bite-sized Bitcoin, but he's real succinct and somebody can just take these two pages, print them off, have them with you, and explain these things to normies if it would go a long way.
I'm going to fast forward to the end here and give you his conclusion. After a thorough examination of the advantages and disadvantages associated with the replacing resistive heating with ASIC heating, it can be concluded that such a transition would
yield significant economic benefits. ASIC machines operate at a significantly lower monthly expense compared to resistive heating and the investment cost associated with the machines will eventually be paid off by the earnings from the ASIC.
However, households must consider the risks that ASICs like any other electrical appliance may come defective and thus cause acquisition costs that are not paid off. The investment cost must be also evaluated in relation to the opportunity cost of allocating funds elsewhere.
Furthermore, households must carefully consider whether their technical prerequisites are good enough to set up and operate an ASIC system or alternatively look into the options for getting service personnel to help with the setup and operation.
The household's initial infrastructure is an important factor to consider when choosing a suitable ASIC system. If the household does not already have a technical room, technical room, I like that.
With heat transportation around the building, an additional investment cost will be necessary to install this. When it comes to comfort associated with heating, it is important for the household to consider temperature adjustments as the ASIC system does not have the same automatic temperature
adjustment that often comes with resistive heating. Well, that's for now, Norsk Bitcoin. Zach bombs is obviously making great strides in that regard. The household must either set up the ASIC system with equivalent automatic temperature adjustment or turn it off on and off manually when they want the heat.
Despite these practical and technical aspects, it is likely that households will benefit from switching to ASIC heating. If ASIC heating continues to be profitable in the future, it is possible that development will move towards integrating and user-friendly solutions, including the maintenance and service
agreements from sellers of ASICs similar to today's heat pumps. In the short term, resistive heating may be tempting due to its simplicity and low startup and initial costs, however, by sticking with resistive heating households may be missing out of the potential for substantial financial gain in the long run.
On the other hand, ASIC heating has a higher startup cost, but will eventually save households money. Given that the electrical appliances remain functional. In conclusion, this study suggests that Bitcoin ASIC heating has the potential to significantly
impact the average household's heating bill in Norwegian town, but as of today, households must carefully evaluate whether their technical and practical aspects associated with it justify the potential profitability.
That is from Norsk Bitcoin. And yeah, I agree, Norsk Bitcoin, on all those accounts, great research. So how are we going to get this on the website somehow, you think? Yeah. Yeah. Mr. Crown, if you're listening, let's get it done, please, mate.
Yeah. This is a good resource, especially. I want to have it in my back pocket, essentially, to uncoverable misfits anytime I have this conversation with a normie and say, well, here's an academic paper that proves my point.
So thank you very much, Norsk Bitcoin. When we put it on the Ungovernable Misfits website, we're going to have his QR code to his wallet. If you could throw him some SATs for his research, I'm sure it'd be greatly appreciated, and maybe that would inspire him to do more Bitcoin academic papers.
Or follow him on Twitter at BitcoinNYTT, or do both or two both. Why not both? Send him some SATs. Follow him. Unfollow him. Send him some more SATs for unfollowing him. And then follow him again.
Yeah. That makes perfect sense. Yeah. Got more fountain booths to read, Max. Bloody hell. This was the most boosted episode. It was. Thank you very much to everyone who's done this. It's pretty fucking amazing who we got here.
Some fucker. Oh, this guy. Fuck. Yeah, this fucking guy. You know what annoys me about Bond? Everything. Yeah. It's the consistency. It's like, oh, I'm going to fucking support you guys and be really consistent and help you along with the show all the time and always send you SATs.
It's like, come on, give it a fucking break. No one's that nice and good. I hate him. I hate him as well. A plus for effort, oh, you suck up, isn't it? A plus for effort, once again, I don't think there is a better produced Bitcoin podcast out there right now.
Maybe he's redeemed himself here because that sounds good. Yeah. Yeah. Better produced Bitcoin podcast out there. Well, a lot of effort goes into it, Bond. I appreciate that. Thank you very much.
And I take back everything I said, we now love you again. Thanks. 100% so easily bought. Next one is from Piers. Like I said that, I didn't say Piers. No, I can get real Pittsburghy with it.
It's one is from Piers. No, don't do that. State was original. I'll do it in more French Spanish. This one is from Piers. Lovely. That's nice. Fuck. Signal is strong. Keep up the hard work, pleb mining, Bitcoin pleb salute, ready to thank you Piers pleb to polymath 5000 cents.
I think there needs to be more technical Bitcoin podcasts that needs to be some thought about mining for those of us stacking sat in fear so we can transition into a Bitcoin income. Help us learn as we work.
Good stuff. Well, that's what we're trying to bring you, pleb to polymath, but also, I don't know, there isn't an also just that's what we're trying to bring you. So hopefully it's valuable and thank you for the stats.
It done been brought according to him. It was last episode was worth 5000 sat stem. So thank you very much. Yeah. Thank you. Next one is from Emcot, not ercot, Emcot. Keep the minor monthly podcast going.
Ah, we tricked another one and we were going to quit. You fucking idiot. Sucker. Summertime is coming up and I can't think of a better way to spend it than up in the attic, getting set up a home minor slash here to get ready for winter preparedness.
Yeah, he's an aunt, not a grasshopper, any guides, interviews, et cetera. You can point me towards to get started. Why, of course we can Emcot, ungovernable misfits dot com. Good. Have a look.
That's the one at Piers, 1000 cents. Thank you for the compass mining rip. I got bent right over by those scumbag cunts too. Never again, pleb home mining from me here on out, building my home mining empire.
Ha, exclamation mark. I like that. Ha, ha, ha. Yeah. You know what I did there? Yeah, I did. Next one is from Bitcoin tech boy, 600 sat. Interesting news on Bitcoin mining. I wish I could move to either Texas or Montana, where Bitcoin mining has really taken off.
Well, maybe you can Bitcoin tech boy. Um, I'm for the stars. Yeah. User 1 1 7 5 8 5 6 4 9 6 1 3 2 4 9 2 500 sat. It's pronounced zilinex pleb zilinex there's a Linux control boards. Thank you very much.
Thank you. 1 7 5. Next one is from the wild hustle, the good name 100 cents love the show and we love you wild hustle. Thank you. Short, sharp, sweet, very nice.
Salmon remnant 6,900 sats blue me away with that one. Thanks very much. Max. I wanted to read a boost from your seed signer episode with seed signer, Keith McKay and Nick. Oh, I haven't seen these.
That's good to see. Yeah. Well, yeah. Everybody, you know, your boosts are read on the other episodes. I read them all and I communicate with them to Max. Thank you. Yeah. You're welcome.
Uh, but anyway, uh, Nick clock, Angus username was wrong on the show notes for Twitter. It's, it's a fucks like new to Nick. Okay. It has a few different ones. Oh, and I see Kay. That seed sign is fault because I did reach out and I'll so see what your life out, please, Mike.
Okay. All right. Yeah. Sarah sorted out. But, um, butter Bitcoin had boosted another 5,000 sats on that episode and he said, man, minor because born minor was in Maine. Mm. He thought that that was funny and I thought that that was funny.
I think everything's funny though. Yeah. I think that's funny as well. Well done. Good for me. All right, all right, all right, guess what we got now? Action news. No doubt.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no.
And now, let's go to my plea. Action news. Action news. And that's his missing. He's tinkling. He's on the pot. He's taking a wee. He's draining the lizards.
He's doing his business. It's number one, not number two. Mm. It's too much coffee. This early in the morning, it's a diuretic. How long can I sing about peeing? Dun, dun, dun, dun. Max is taking a pee.
He's taking a wee. He's taking a wee. He's taking a wee. Mm, that was disconcerting. I was upstairs pissing, and I've got my Bluetooth headset on, and all I can hear is you just going, he's tinkling, doo, doo, doo, doo, doo.
Didn't make it cry, I was. Little bit. Little bit. I lost some ink-chitch as well. Yucky. Thanks for that. Oh, sure. This episode's plebminermonthly, action news is sponsored by somebody different.
This time it's sponsored by Peach Bitcoin, Max. This is a call to action, all right, to all pleb miners, small scale miners, large miners. I don't care who you are. Do you get Bitcoin all the time through mining?
Sell it on Peach Bitcoin right now. You need some sats. You need some cash, but you do some cucked ass bullshit like go to Coinbase or Kraken or some other fucking KYC exchange to sell that Bitcoin all the time.
Lending platforms. Go and sell it to a pleb. Sell it to a pleb. All right. We've been real nice. Yeah, we've been real nice on our peach Bitcoin advertisements, but I'm getting pissed off now.
Mm. Pathetic, isn't it? Yeah. So if you really care about Bitcoin, you need to make sure that you're actually selling to a pleb. They want KYC free sats. It's important. You need some money to pay your energy bills because it doesn't come free.
So, you know, synergies, get it done, stop fucking around. How would they go about doing this? Well, they would go to peachbitcoin.com and, all right, listen to me. I want to, I want to tell you guys something.
Okay. Listen, listen to me. Max. We're listening. I'm listening. If you're in the United States, there is a caveat here. Okay. US IP addresses are forbidden to communicate with peach Bitcoin.
And by default, Canadian IP addresses are forbidden too because they use the US IP address system. And if you want to know more about that, please see our pleb. Come on our month episode with Sal good hodl on the IT and telecom industry.
You can learn a little bit more. But anyway, we all know there is a magical way as the people here in North America to transport ourselves to a European jurisdiction. Okay. You would do that virtually and privately as if we've created a sort of wormhole or a tunnel.
Okay. To the EU. Sounds amazing. Yeah. Are you understanding what I'm saying now? Yeah. Uh huh. I don't know if we say that the three letters, I didn't represent, but I think people would probably understand what we're saying.
I would hope they do. And if you don't, then how the fuck did you even get a miner set up? And is there any sort of, uh, banks or things that they could use because obviously you've got this old school cucked fear money.
And so in Europe, they use this thing called the euro. We don't use the dollar and in England, we use the pound because of this thing called Brexit. Everyone fucking cried about that in America, you use the dollar, but how would someone who has a dollar be able to send money back and forth to someone who has a euro.
It just all sounds so difficult because you haven't got this one world currency, haven't got this thing like Bitcoin where everyone could just be on the same standard. Like what would they do?
I have heard tell that there are some mobile banking apps that are useful in this regard. One of them is named after revolution, except you don't complete the entire word, but shorter probably.
Mm hmm. Yeah. Okay. I would stop at the tee. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Any others? There's another one. Um, no, remember the date. Remember, remember the 26th of November. Okay. All right. I gave you a little riddle.
Mm. You've got to work that out. You've got to be more there, but figure it out, plebs. Yeah. Figure it out. You've got SaaS to sell. Don't go to some cucked. And I never said fuck so many times in an ad read, but I'm getting pissed off here at this point.
There are tons of buyers that want to buy KYC free from a pleb. Real Bitcoin. And guess what? They actually normally pay a little bit over spot, don't they? I think they do. Yeah. Which I've seen is a couple of percent.
You want to go and give your Bitcoin to a KYC exchange that's going to do a lot of tracking and dirty shit and maybe rehypophically and you've got to have the risk of having your SaaS on that exchange for a certain amount of time and you can get rugged, especially
if that particular company is sponsored by a particular show, then you know that they're going to get rugged within 18 months. And so you've got all that risk instead. You can just fucking sell to a player and get a little bit more money and not get tracked.
Beautiful. Beautiful. Longest ad read ever on the show. Yeah. You don't have to pay a fee to sell the Bitcoin. The buyer pays the fee. It's free. Mm-hmm. All right. Moving on. Moving on to plan a monthly action news, Bob Burnett.
That's from barefoot mining. We mentioned Bob Burnett in a bite sized Bitcoin. We did on mining server components, which he likes to say mining server. He had a analysis on why hashrate is climbing.
He says to sum that all up, oh, that's not. I'm not. He's not something that all up. I have to go to the tweet and read it. Bob Burnett says lots of discussion recently about hashrate continuing to climb.
I'll offer some commentary slash opinion from the perspective of a commercial mining company. He says much of the hashrate growth of the last nine months was from capital investments by large miners in late 21 and 22, but their deployment was quite slow.
This is about exhausted now and the equipment is finally in service. No material capital came into the mining ecosystem in quarter two of 2022 and early in 2023. So how much hashrate growth until the halving, how finning, thank you, Bob, is dependent upon new capital inflows and the ability of miners to deploy quickly.
Because of mining servers are very good. So many companies, including barefoot mining, are using the opportunity to expand into newer generation equipment. In our case, we have replaced some older equipment and have also brought on some new sites.
We will add more new mining capacity in quarter two of 2023 and are being aggressive. But our strategy of doing small cell site, a small cell sites. Oh, that's part of my industry and bringing them up fast is very beneficial in this environment.
Much of the growth for the industry in the next 10 months will come from replacement of older machines. The early S-19 class equipment and older systems are losing steam and companies are having to decide whether to ride the equipment out to the halving, the halving, or put that equipment
to bed early and upgrade to an S-19 JPro plus, most likely with aluminum hashboards, class or hire now. But when this happens, the net impact is lower to global hashrate because of one of the systems is coming out of circulation.
The bottom line is that unless Bitcoin price spikes materially in the second half of 2023, and he says his opinion is from 32 to 35. It doesn't seem like a crazy spike, but okay. Expect the rate of hash growth to slow considerably.
If Bitcoin price is in the 45s or less at the halving, then expect a very rapid turn off by 15 to 25% of the hashrate in the 4 to 6 weeks after the halving. If over 60 to 65, expect only a 7 to 10% drop.
This is an interesting analysis, Bob Burnett, so thank you for that tweet. To sum it up, basically, it says the recent increase in hashrate is dependent upon capital investment. Of course, these large scale miners still have ties to the fiat banking system and equipment deployment.
Without new capital, influx hashrate growth is like to slow down unless Bitcoin price spikes. The replacement of older machines will contribute to hashrate, but the net impact on hashrate is less than new capital investment because you're just replacing for percentage, you're just going up from 100 tera hash to 112, 130.
Over the old Bitcoin price at the halving, we'll influence the hashrate with lower prices leading to a rapid turn off. Back to your amuted, if you wanted to say something, sorry, I was just taking a shit, no you weren't, in my chair, he's taking a shit, hmm, hmm, hmm, no, I was doing some bird watching.
Oh, well, we are doing a show, so if you could pay attention, that would be great, pay attention up front, come on, what the fuck, ADHDS motherfucker, what were you doing, oh, I was watching a bird, that's pretty much what used to happen, max, what are you doing down, fucking sound
in the corner, look at older birds, they're chirping away, do you think they understand me, mum, they wish they couldn't, ah, next story on a docket is the heat dome, welcome to the heat dome, another contributing factor in global hashrate isn't just difficulty or
new machines coming online, it is the heat dome, Texas grappling with a scorching heat wave and record breaking power load demand affecting riot and argo, they have curtailed their power during peak demand hours, ah, if you remember max, we talked about earlier
on the show, the December cold snap, the dip in hashrate from Texas being cold and needing that for their resistive heaters, ah, but now they get a heat dome in Texas, that contributes to another drop, by the way, if you want a little bit of weather report, a heat dome
is a high pressure system in the atmosphere that forces air down, compresses it in a warming phenomenon called subsidence, that warm air is then trapped in place by the high pressure, so it can't go anywhere and it's being pushed down upon, that must be what it feels like
living in the UK, pretty much, it's actually very hot here, is it hot because the weather tells you it's hot, well I looked at it on the news, it said the hottest summer ever, so ah, there you go, that must be it then, yep, the weather said hottest summer ever,
but it said that last year though, and the year before and the year before, so it just obviously is getting hotter all the time, so if you extrapolate that out, four or five years from now, it would be burning, it would be like hell here, you're gonna die, oh definitely,
painfully, next up we have NDGO HODL, I mean I think he had put a survey out last night, it might be indigo HODL, like the color indigo, that would be quite clever, or indigo from the princess bride, could be, or it could be an acronym for something, it could, we'll
have to ask him, never, I don't know, it's too early, yeah, alright, start, managed one, go back to looking at birds, I'll take it from here, he is a repairman, he is a ASIC Bitcoin mining server machine repairman, and he has some advice on spotting aluminum hashboards,
you don't want an aluminum hashboard, that is a high failure rate, difficult to fix, but that's what's coming out, and that's what's been out, but he wants you, he wants to give you some advice, if you're gonna be on eBay and you're looking for cheap machines, you
go, oh shit, this one's 500 bucks, I wonder why, he has some advice for you, alright, if it's a 90T, 8060, or 82T, those are all aluminum, a 110T, 95, those are never aluminum, remember we're talking about bit mane, I should have prefaced that, shouldn't I have, no we
knew you were the biggest bit man chills, oh my god fucker, alright, JProse, if it's serial numbers on the side, it's never aluminum, Pro, 8080, 92T, 9060, 100T, 104T, all aluminum, good, that's what I've got, oh is it, no, you probably have a JPro, 96 or 104, right,
I don't know actually, look it up, figure it out, reach out to Indigo Hoddle, he'll let you know, but you've had good luck with those machines over the past couple years, so they've actually, the uptime from the machines has been solid, alright, if you look on the
power supply, the power supply model number 12, 12, you know, whatever, but then it has a number at the end, so if it's A, B, or C, that's never aluminum, if it's D, E, or F, that's all aluminum, XPs, aluminum, JProse, plus, he says they're not aluminum, but they
behave like aluminum, so I guess that means it's a high failure rate, is that like a trans metal, trans metal, yeah, well it is June, so could be, so if you have any questions about potentially buying a machine on eBay, post that up on Twitter, and then reach out
to people like Indigo Hoddle, reach out to Kaboom Rax Alex, reach out to Altair technologies that somebody that deals in either fix rigs, either repairing mining machines, or selling them, if you want to buy something on eBay, get as much information as you can, put it
out on Twitter, let everybody comb through that and find out what's going on, or even if it's a scammer, might say, that's a scam, that doesn't make sense, maybe don't give the details that it's on eBay though, because then someone might go, oh that's a good deal,
and then they might snipe you, so think about that, everyone's a scammer, yeah, I didn't think about that, you're more, you think like a scammer, yeah, alright, next up is Nico Smith, we really appreciate Nico writing all these articles all the time, so we do, yeah,
this is from his Bitcoin mining blog post, this is one of his normal posts, where he goes over Bitcoin price, network hash rate, we've already done all that in this episode, so we will skip to that part, and we will talk about the new miner coming out from
Blockstream in possibly third quarter of 2024, and I talked to Alex about this last night, he's like, oh yeah, I've been talking about that for a long time, but Nico Smith says they have more exciting than ASIC prices, was Blockstream's unveiling of its long-awaited
ASIC, this machine is expected to be launched in third quarter of 2024, striking is the design, which deviates from the traditional shoebox format used by most manufacturers currently, innovation in design is very welcome, but might mean challenges when miners want to
replace other ASICs in their racks with these machines, the launch of this new miner might seem far away, but development and production takes time, if this ASIC will become a success, the largely depend on the market conditions of mining at the time, Blockstream releases
the miner, but with a $125 million raise in January, and plans to raise even more capital to fund its mining business, the company is making some serious moves. I find that very interesting, Blockstream's unveiling its long-awaited ASIC, the machine is expected to launch in third quarter of 2024, like we said, Blockstream has been working
on this for a while, though, Max, they acquired mining hardware manufacturer Spondulis, who of that name, that's very good, I used to know a guy in New York, hey, Spondulis, Spondulis Pizza, they acquired them August 24th, 2021, and Spondulis offers supposedly high-quality
durable equipment, so look for some possible competition in the future, I don't know, you keep hearing though, this person is going to release a miner, they're going to release a miner, here we go, that man wants to mine, yeah, we'll see, show me the money, show me
the Spondulis, show me the Spondulis, huh, hey, you had to go pee earlier, which is Spondulis, oh, here we go, Blockstream, there, that's Spondulis, who else we got, oh, somebody else is going to release a miner as well, Epic Blockchain is releasing a miner very soon, they've released
their spec sheet for the miner, Model 520i, they're going to have some issues there, is that BMW? That's an exact Model of a BMW 520i, why don't you contact Epic Blockchain and let them know? No, I'm going to contact BMW and say this and guys, so I think you can
sue these cums, give me a little back hander, all right, we won't say anything, don't tell anyone on the shill, not shill, sell out, I'll get some sats, I'll cut this bit from the show so no one will know, yeah, and you won't grasp me up because I'll give you 20%
all right, done, Bing Bang Boom, 520i, sorry about that Epic Blockchain, that's okay, they'll be all right, that's a shit name though, yeah, yeah it is, just give it a cool name or do a con, do a naming contest or something, well this machine is going to have 112 tera hash,
so that's not amazing or anything, it's middle of the road like a 520i, yeah, it's like an executive sort of car, a fleet car, the efficiency of this machine is 33 joules per tera hash, that's also underwhelming, okay, did we just shit all over Epic Blockchain, yeah, but then
obviously it could be cheaper and then if it's like, okay, this is a reasonable price and it's reliable but it's not like overwhelmingly powerful or efficient, then it's like okay, that's fine, that works, that's great, you're going to get sued by BMW, but once you get
over that, crack on, you can come to us for a name, we won't charge you much, we'll come up with something amazing, we can help you with the marketing, put it on an uncomfortable misfits and away we go, there you go, a couple things Epic Blockchain has rumored that the
machine may be around $1,800, $2,000, so that, well, I can get a bit main for cheaper than that, I don't know, we'll see, it's going to come with the Epic Blockchain control board, so you'll have, you'll have a good firmware to start with and there's no dev fee on that control board, so you'd have to factor that in as well.
We have an update from base load, base load was here, my house the other day, so we said on the back porch had some good conversation where we're going to skate but the weather really wasn't conducive to skateboarding, so we just hung out on my back porch and wrapped
for a while, he has a message for everybody, he wants everybody to know that different pricing constructs for different types of load shapes, alright, so how do I want to try to extrapolate what is in base loads brain and bring it down to the layman level, but
pretty much if you have a mining facility, the power company needs to know what that demand is going to look like, they're quite used to saying from 8 o'clock in the morning to 4 o'clock in the afternoon, we know that your load is going to be this, it is going
to look like that and then at night when all of your workers go home, so you're in a machine shop or something like that or you're in a hospital or a school system, they know what that load shape is going to have peaks and valleys, it's going to look a certain way,
but Bitcoin mining that is a pancake load shape and you would think, we would all think that that is something that the power company would want. Yeah, because you don't want unexpected loads do you, you don't want premature or unexpected, you want consistent, you want to know where you're at when it's coming.
Is it getting hot in here? But they don't, they don't, it doesn't impress them and you go to some organizations like Duke Energy and they now have a, their generation fleet is a lot of renewables, so a lot of renewables are putting, moving electrons, I have to say this wrong, a base load is going
to flip out, you know, they're moving electrons more in the daytime because of this renewable generation fleet, right, so all these solar panels are doing very well. Well that doesn't, doesn't do you any good when it's, it's midnight to, to sunrise.
So in that sense, a power organization that has a lot of renewables in their fleet doesn't want a pancake load shape. They want that peak in the daytime when all your workers are there in the machine shop and then they go home and it, and it valleys out.
They appreciate the old load. That's all you were thinking of is let me make, make another dirty joke. One that's already been made when it was vaguely funny the first time that we tried again.
Yeah, let me, let me just repeat this. Oh, that's it from the base load update, I will be with him at mining disrupt, as well as barn miner, as well as many, Mr. G, Chet, Alex, a lot of the names that you hear on pleb minor monthly, we'll all be down there in Miami, but a body will be down there as, as he mentioned.
So we'll be rocking it. We'll see how much body can, can party. This is all just bullshit. Like he's a real player, you know, we'll see. We'll see body. He is a real player. All right, all right, next up we have some sun spot fear porn.
This is from zero hedge. I'm going to summarize this article, but they say solar cycle 25 began April 2019. And since then the sun has become more active, unleashing solar flares and geomagnetic storms.
Scientists are concerned that solar maximum, the peak of solar activity could arrive earlier than expected, which poses risks to the digital economy on earth. And that's why I'm mentioning that in pleb minor monthly because Bitcoin is somewhat digital case you haven't heard.
The current solar cycle is projected to reach its peak around 2025. Recent observations indicate that solar activity is ramping up in December 2022. The total number of sun spots reached an eight year high, suggesting increased solar activity.
Furthermore, there has been a significant increase in the number and intensity of solar flares, particularly X class flares, which are the most powerful. These flares can trigger geomagnetic storms and disrupt satellites and power grids.
Solar physicist Alex James, not Alex Jones from the University of College London warns that the sun's activity indicates the solar maximum could occur by the end of this year, contrary to the initial forecast of 2025.
Similar forecasts from other experts highlight the concern about being ill prepared for the potential consequences of heightened solar activity. The US government has recognized the seriousness of grid down effects caused by solar storms as demonstrated by a 2026 executive order titled coordinating efforts to prepare the
nation for space weather events signed during the Obama administration. Oh, change. So why do I read that on pleb minor monthly? Well, how do you get your connection to the network, plebs, pleb minors, node operators?
You might want to consider a hard line connection fiber, preferably, and I'm not just saying this to benefit what I do in my industry, but it is something to consider. If you have a Starlink satellite and you have other choices that you want in IT, you want redundancy.
You go into a large data centers, they have different pathways for working and protect side things. They have different vendors inside the facility. You might have a cable provider, you might have a non-Telco fiber provider, of course, a telco company, satellites to just be prepared for any event.
Your go-to is going to be fiber if you have the opportunity. If it's from a local telco, most likely it's going to be cheaper and more reliable, and perhaps it will harden your facility more against weather events like sun spots.
That's it for pleb minor monthly action news.
Moving on to pleb minor in the wild. Today's pleb minor in the wild is Chet, our buddy Chet, and pleb minor in the wild is sponsored by the Lake Satoshi BBQ Campout. The Lake Satoshi Bitcoin BBQ Campout.
It takes place in Langsburg, Michigan, August 11th and 12th. It is going to be a fantastic time. I suggest that everybody consider going to the Lake Satoshi Bitcoin BBQ Campout if you're doing something this summer.
You want to go to a Bitcoin event. This is an event that is cheap, it is with real bitcoiners, it is not a giant shill fest that costs you $400, $500, $600. It is a simple $21 donation that donation goes to the original Bitcoin beach project.
You can donate in a number of ways to support the project or to attend the event. You can just donate right there in person. Just go see Mike at the retreat and say hey, here's my $21 worth of bitcoin that I want to donate to the Bitcoin beach project in El Salvador.
You can search the oshi app, search Lake Satoshi in the oshi app. You can just find one of the bitcoin beach retreat og's at the event and send them some bitcoin for the cause. You can scan a QR code at the retreat if you want to send it.
What I'm trying to say is if you have $21 worth of bitcoin and you want to attend a real bitcoin event, consider going to the Lake Satoshi Bitcoin BBQ Campout this summer. It will be a fantastic time with real bitcoiners, not shills, true plebs.
What they're doing in Michigan is incredible. It reminds me a lot of the node runners, Max, the way the mid-Michigan meet up scene is, the Michigan meet up scene as a whole. The node runners are such a great group and they have such great camaraderie and when you're hanging out with them, they make you feel like a node runner right away.
It's a great group of plebs to hang out with. When you're hanging out with the node runners, you feel like a node runner and I feel like the Michigan scene is the same. I'm not from Michigan, but they welcome me with open arms and it's just a great group of plebs to hang out with.
How would someone pay the payment options to get in? I did go over that, you mentioned it, did you? I did mention it, yeah. I think one of their main ways is going to the OSHA app and searching Lake Satoshi.
But you can go to bitcoin101.io and scroll down there at the bottom of the page and look for the Lake Satoshi meet up. What you bring that it has all the information you can RSVP via Eventbrite and pay in a number of ways.
I tell you what, and Chet and I talk about it in the Pledman Island in the wild episode. If you don't have $21 worth of bitcoin and just have a tent or want to sleep out underneath the stars, we got you.
We'll pay for it, Chet got you. Somebody got you, don't worry about it. Let's get your ass over to Lake Satoshi and come hang out with some real plebs. Nice. Are you going to be going? Hell yeah, I'm going to be going.
I'm going to go visit Carl, stay with him for a day. This is Sarah and I both and then we will be traveling via RV to the Lake Satoshi event and I'll be doing some live streaming there. I will have some art from Mr. Crown.
I'll have three of his prints there so everybody can look, feel and touch. Mr. Crown's art and you will have the availability to order some of his art from mrogue.com. You can actually do it now.
But if you like to see stuff, if art inspires you in a physical way, I'll have some art there. Additionally, we are giving away an S19 from Kaboom Rax Alex. Alex has been generous enough to consume Rax to donate an S19 to the cause.
So come on over, if you don't even have to pay the 21 bucks, we'll get your way. You won't though. You'll pay the 21 bucks worth of Bitcoin. I can't imagine somebody thought, but anyway, yeah, I would, but I can't get over.
We didn't invite you. Oh, I thought it was an open invite anyone can come, terms and conditions apply. Just one person. Yeah. No fucking special needs from England. Cooled Max. So not only is Kaboom Rax Alex giving away an S19, but we've also partnered with Nakamoto
mining auto over at Nakamoto mining is giving away some of his new 3D printed fan shrouds or 3D printed apparatus. He's making some neat stuff. He's designed a fan shroud that goes on the back of an S19, I believe what's minor also, but it has a little slot in it where you can slide in one of those filters.
So auto is going to be donating some of his fan shroud material to couple with the S19. So you will be ready to plug in when you get home and pipe that air somewhere else. So when it turns winter time, you can pipe it in your home and now we'll move on to the pleb minor in the wild interview with Chet.
Today we have the privilege of observing the elusive and often misunderstood pleb minor. If you listen closely, you'll hear the unmistakable sound of its mating call. To others, the sound is offensive, but to the pleb, it's a routing beyond measure.
These creatures survive by scouring the Earth for energy and scavenging hashrate from others whose over exuberance costs them dearly. The pleb minor may not be at the top of the food chain, but make no mistake, its ingenuity, scrappy nature and unquenchable thirst for sounds make it a force to be reckoned with.
His pleb minor in the wild is Chet. Long time listeners to pleb minor monthly will know Chet as being an integral part of pleb minor month, where he visited Carl's regenerative agriculture farm and helped him set up an S9.
Chet now runs a hydro farm where he's the foreman, engineer, water treatment technician, IT specialist, project manager, accountant, security guard and Bitcoin ambassador to his local community.
We have become friends over the past year and I consider him a brother. A lot of you don't know, but this on the back end, but Chet helps out a lot with pleb minor month with boosts, with ideas for the show, with just being, I don't know, our biggest cheerleader in a way.
Chet, welcome to pleb minor month, welcome to pleb minor monthly, welcome to pleb minor in the wild. Thanks, John. Appreciate it. Hey, a lot has changed over the past year and before we hit record, we were talking about the first time that we ever spoke or the first time you'd heard the show.
Can you tell the listeners about that because what we're going to be, where we're going to be in a month from now, it's like an interesting full circle story. Yeah, it really is. I was down at mining disrupt.
I was staying in the hostel down there, just had a bunk. I had gotten back to my room, it was about 1.30 in the morning and I turned on Max, Max's a show bit by bit and you were on there and you said something that your wife says about how the minor sound is the heartbeat of your home and it just, boom, it hit me instantly
and I was like, yeah, this guy I have to know and I got to get a hold of these guys, how I can help them out in any way possible. And you did, like just from the S9 and the relationship with Carl and now we're all friends with Carl and that Michigan meetup scene is awesome and I know you so well and I'm starting
to know a lot of the Michigan Bitcoiners well and I know Carl very well, how many things have progressed from then and now we're coming around full circle that we'll all be at mining disrupt later on this month together.
I don't know, that's just really cool how fast things happen in Bitcoin. It's like that somebody's always hashing the heating said to me the other day, like, well that's in Bitcoin years, you know, like dog years or something.
Yeah, it seems like it was a while ago but it really wasn't that long ago, you know, Bitcoin just has a way of putting you where you need it when you're supposed to be there. Yeah. So a lot has changed and I had mentioned at the beginning of the interview here is now
you run a hydro mine and I came to visit you a few weeks ago and was really blown away and how big the mine is, you know, we always say like, oh, it's just a small little mine. It seems big to me, you know, as far as the scale that we talk about and we think about it's a big mine.
I was really surprised at how involved it is, it being a hydro mine, there's a lot more than just dropping off power and dealing with heat. So you're, I don't know, I listed all these jack of trades type things of how you're involved with that mine, but it's every aspect of that mine.
You are there for it from somebody coming in a little tractor to spread gravel to somebody knocking on the door who's just curious as to what y'all are doing there. Treating water. It's a jet.
Tell me how, how do you start building a mine like that, you know, from site location to communicating with the power company and then building out? Well, the power company here has been great to work with.
It's probably one of the, I mean, I've only worked with a handful throughout the nation, but this is by far one of the, one of the best ones that I've worked with. They're real responsive, they get out here, get us what we need when we need it.
As far as everything else, I was just fortunate. I was, had been traveling all that all the past year, year and a half, trying to find a mine. You know, I didn't want to really go corporate.
I wanted to go somewhere where I could really submerse and get to run a mine the way that I wanted to, you know, most people are about hash or they're about this style or this style. I'm all about efficiency.
The more efficient I can be with, with like my time, like even rack and minors are, you know, messing with the chemical system. Anything like that is how can I be the most efficient in my time and have this mine be the most efficient that it can be.
It's been a lot of learning, a lot of learning, right? I'm very fortunate to get to, to get to learn every day. Some, some lessons are a lot more financially costly than others, but you know, all education I reckon, whether it's hard knocks or through, through the system isn't, is expensive.
It's not, it's not cheap. What do you say to yourself, you know, what, what goes through your mind when you, when you reach a hurdle and we were talking to you guys have recently reached a hurdle with transformers.
Power company came out, place transformers turns out they, they weren't the right ones. You had set poles, you'd set a platform, you'd run cable, you had poured a pad, you had set containers down, you'd done all this stuff and then you hit a roadblock and you hear the
story often within mining, I had everything set up and I got rug pulled here, I got rug pulled there. What's your mindset? How do you push through those kind of hurdles? I just try to give people like our contractors or the power company or anything.
I just try to ask them what they need and try to give them everything they need so that they can do their job the most efficient that they can do it, doesn't always pan out that way. That's what we're going to have.
You know, we had to hic up the, the transformers can't be tapped down the, the, the pull mount can styles on America. They don't, they, you have to get them custom built to tap them down under 465 volts.
I guess is what I learned on this, this, this new build out. So you know, it's just looking at other options. Can we tap into our existing transformer? If we do that, we're not going to be able to run.
If we do want to run our, our mine in normal motor at full capacity or overclock, we wouldn't be able to do that with three of the containers hooking up to a 3000 KVA transformer. That was one option.
So I just try to give as many options as we can, give it to the electrician, the power company and my boss and let them, you know, make, make the most informed decision that they can make and then go from there.
But I've noticed one thing with you too that you're really good at and I think this probably would make you a great general contractor and as far as mining goes and I always say this to you and you, you kind of poo poo this and erect all humble, but you are like a top of
the line, the Bitcoin mining project manager is, you know, you, you give people the space that they need to do their job, but you also hold them accountable. You were telling me a story about the water treatment.
And for those that don't know, hydromine uses a lot of water and it isn't just taking that same water and cooling it off all the time with the cooling towers. That water needs to be refreshed because it either, what happens to a Chet does it get fungus or it kind of loses its, its, its cooling properties, but it has to be treated.
Exactly. So any cooling system has, you know, whether it's pushing air through heat exchange or this one has water that, that helps cool it, right? So that water comes down. It's going to get, you know, dirt, pollen, it's got natural algae in it and it's got white scale.
There's some other things that, that the chemical guy could tell you, but those are like the main, the main properties and what happens is those coils, eventually will, will build up, right?
There's going to get things built up if you don't treat the water proper. And when that builds up your efficiency, your heat exchange efficiency is going to start going out the window eventually within, you know, three to six months, if you don't treat your water, you're going to have to shut it down and, and clean the whole system.
So it's taken what, what's, what's easiest, what's most, you know, doesn't cost you the most, whether that's proper maintenance or whether it's taking it down for a day and cleaning everything once every three months and then hoping it comes back up.
Yeah, right. But yeah, we want to have the most up time. So we're trying to do preventant maintenance on it. We're looking into getting a cleaning system, a cleaning vacuum, kind of like what a pool, a pool vacuum would do just to maintain, you know, the, the scale and the buildup, the dirt,
the residue that gets left in after the water is evaporated, because we're evaporating quite a bit of water off, right? Yeah, just preventant maintenance really. You told me a story. You took me out to the garage that's out there where all the water is treated.
And there are, you know, large containers of chemicals, and then there's these controllers that pump the chemicals in there. And you're telling me about the, the chemical treatment guy and you holding him to account when he was maybe trying to bullshit you a little bit or not doing his job fully.
And I think that's what makes you a good project manager is if somebody's an expert, then you give them the leeway to be an expert, but you also hold them to account. That's sort of your personality in general and, and to go beyond mining.
But I know you're always looking for somebody who's bullshitting, somebody who's a scammer and you will be the first one to call them out. You know, I call you the, like the security guard of that mine, but you're almost a sort of a guard dog against scammers that you and the Triple Elite memes team are pretty good
at doing that, but you apply it to your project manager, you know, side of things too. Like, all right, you know, you're an expert. You do your job, but when you don't, I'm going to question you and I'm going to hold you account.
And I think people respect that in the long run to know that they're not going to get anything by you. For sure. I mean, I try to build up the report first, right, building up the report, reading these people out, seeing what their incentives are, seeing if they're aligned with mine.
I hold myself to what I think is pretty high standards. And if I'm going to hold myself and live in this mine and, you know, committing my, my life to, to Bitcoin, I want to have, you know, I'm going to hold you to a high standard to I'm going to hold you to accountability.
And if I don't see what I think you should be providing for what value for value, right? That's what it boils down to. You give me the value that you said you'll provide. You won't see me.
You won't hear from me. But if you're not providing that value and I'm having to do your job for you, then that's when I'm definitely going to, you know, we're going to have a talk and we'll work it out.
And, you know, most of the time we work through it, all these guys on this job we've worked through. I got a great rapport with. We, you know, we barbecue, we, you know, bring beer, all sorts of stuff.
They taught me how to moonshine. You know, it's, yeah, building up that rapport and then they, they, they want to do a good job, right? They, they, they respect me. They know that I'm in this mind living so they see it, right?
And when they see it, they're like, damn, we, you know, we owe this guy. We owe a good job to this. And that's, that's what it's all about. It brings me up to my, my next thought is you live in that mind and, you know, us guys are our little group of friends, we're always teasing you about being a monk in that mind.
But you live it. You, you, you walk the walk. It's one thing I appreciate you about you as a friend is if you think I'm bullshitting on something, you will call me out on it. One of the things you said to me, like, hey, man, why haven't you finished that immersion build?
I'm, I'm going to fucking come there and we're going to do it. We're going to build. We're going to get that build done. Anytime I'm like teetering on being full of shit, you will call me out because you live that life, the Bitcoin monk living in the mind.
I mean, I'm going to tell people this. You sleep in a cot in that mind. You can have a bed. There's a beautiful bedroom there. There's a nice bathroom there. You choose not to because you've dedicated your life to Bitcoin.
And one of the things that you're doing now in dedicating your life to Bitcoin is you bought a shitload of S9s and you're repairing them on your time on your dime and giving them out to people.
So the initial contact between the two of us, hey, I've got some machines that I want to give away. Hey, Carl seems like a good guy to do that. You know, you're from Michigan. He's from Michigan.
Go up there and do that. It didn't stop there. That's truly who you are. You've given away so many machines and now you're really just up the ante. So can you tell me your motivation behind this?
I think that people have to see it, right? It's one thing to buy KYC Bitcoin or spot Bitcoin. You don't really get the full aspect of it and you hear people talking on spaces and podcasts about, oh, you know, mining's this, mining's that.
And when you've done it, you're like, these people really don't understand it, right? You can tell right away the people that have mined and haven't mined. The S9s, I promise this is this new S9 project.
I've already put a ton of hours and had already had three people came up with the, you know, I was going to try to sell them for like 50 bucks a pop, right? The power supplies are really what's worth the money, the APW 3 plus plus.
The S9s really aren't worth that much anymore. But it's like just trying to get those into as many hands as I can and like the mailman here wants one, the contractors, the electricians and plumbers here want one.
Another guy I just listed some, some of our 275 gallon totes that we have that are empty now that were for DIY watering glycol and I posted them. The guy comes out, we get to talk him. Next thing I know, he's wanting a S9.
He came back yesterday. He didn't pay me all the money and I thought this older guy, I was like, damn, he scammed me. You know, he, I hadn't heard from him like 10 days and I'm like, this guy got me.
That's fine. You know, whatever. Well, he pulls up after I'd, you know, in my head thinking this guy was a, was, you know, a fiat guy pulls back up, gives me my money. He's like, man, you know, I really, I really want to, an S9, I want to know about this.
I really started looking into it and, you know, once they see it, they want to know more. And I figure if I can get him an S9 for as cheap as possible or free, just shipping or the guys that have been coming here, I've had three guys come.
They put together, put in about five, six hours. Sometimes it's not as easy to find three boards that are working, that, that, that stuff and we'll work in the same minor, but you know, they're putting in their time.
So that's, if they're coming to put in their time, then I have no problem helping them, showing them how to flash SD cards, you know, get it back to the, to the T9 before we put them on the network, make sure there's no malware in there and set them up a pool.
The whole nine yards, try to show them as much as I can and starting to get it dialed now that the third guys came by. The last guy came by the last two nights ago, stayed till about one in the morning and didn't end up leaving with an S9, he's passing back through tomorrow and I have him two S9s ready to go now.
Oh, thank God. Yeah. It's not all that work. Like, I get, I get why people, you know, they're like, oh, S9s aren't worth the time. But rather than having someone like when I first started, I had to pay what a thousand bucks for an S9, right?
Yeah. Yeah. Was that overpriced? Probably. You know, I ended up giving all those away that I had bought for early on. Now I have, I had an opportunity. The guy you mine, Brant, that got me the job down here.
He's a great, he'd become a great friend. I really respect this guy. He had this winner. He had all these palace down there and I was, I couldn't really feed myself, right? I was really, I spent the last year and a half going around, put everything I had and didn't have much.
I couldn't hardly feed myself anymore. So he was letting me fix these S9s. I got them fixed up. I'd sell them for a hundred bucks. He let me keep 50 bucks of it so that I could feed and have gas money or, you know, whatever I needed.
Remember that. He came. He's like, Hey, I got the, I need to get rid of these. I want them out of my warehouse and I was like, okay, how, you know, will you give me a deal? How many are there?
How much? He's like, it's a five palates. He's like, whatever's on there, you know, a certain amount. So I took it and I was planning on selling them for, you know, 50 bucks, 25 bucks, whatever I could get.
And then the outpouring after I made that post, I wasn't really expecting it, but the outpouring was just kind of overwhelming. And I was like, you know what, if this many people want to get into mining or know what it's about, I'm just, I'm going to give these things away, you know, at that time, it played mine or month.
I think they were 200 a piece. And then I gave away some of my own and I thought, well, what am I going to do with it? Anyhow, you know, if it means, if it means that much to somebody, what, what, I don't know.
I feel weird. Like I don't take pleasure in it knowing that it could mean that much to somebody. Like Carl, so he's, he started that year, right? And now we've bought in two other S9s together and are not S9s, but we got an A1246 and one of them M29s from Kaboom Racks and he's dehydrating food.
He's hooking it up to his dryer because he's got that Airbnb. So he's always constantly washing sheets and bedding. He's going to be mining every time he does that. Like what that's what that's what it's all about, right?
People smarter than me that have the skill and the want, you know, the want to do this, they're going to innovate. And like, I mean, it's just changing the whole game. It's those ripples in the pond, you know, the butterfly effect, you know, you talking
about Carl, well, you went up there to Michigan, Carl, a couple of weeks ago sent me a bunch of dried elderberries. And in this winter, Sarah will make that into elderberry syrup and it'll keep my family healthy.
So what a strange course of events. You hear a podcast last year at Disrupt. You give Carl an S9, Carl grows elderberries among a hundred other freaking things, dehydrates it with may have been that S9 that you gave him and then sends me the elderberries.
And then this winter, that'll keep my family healthy. Just this, this is so much bigger of an idea of a community than we realize when we're just bullshitting about mining and complaining about our rates or this board going down.
There's so much more to it and not to go off on this big philosopher tangent, but it's like within the mining community, man, what a brotherhood and we've got females in our group too. But just what a crew of people that are always willing to work hard and help each other and
build something that hopefully will be greater than what we can even imagine at this point. Exactly. That's what it's all about, right? It's all about what someone else will do with it and the innovations that they can come up with.
Chet, you do everything at a pleb level and you're always calling out, you know, big corporate type bullshit. If it's something like, you know, the Bitcoin conference, you're calling out all the bullshit there.
But you're involved in a meetup in a sort of pleb conference at scale in Michigan called the Lake Satoshi barbecue camp out. That takes place August 12th. It's the entire weekend. You can enjoy 130 acres of property, Bitcoin beach north, you've got swimming, boating,
fishing, biking, learning about different aspects of Bitcoin classes there. How did you get involved with this, this mid Michigan meetup and tell me about the infancy of Lake Satoshi, how it was last year and what you guys have planned for this year?
Well, P F, Mike and Ben, so I had moved to Michigan or I had made a home base in Michigan at my cousin's house just outside of Grand Rapids. I'd gotten back from the Bitcoin conference last year and I was like, you know, what can I do around here?
And I got on the meetup page and the other pages and saw that there was a guy trying to get a Grand Rapids meetup together. So I got on the horn with them right away and I was like, hey, we got to make this happen.
Like set a date, doesn't matter, let's do it. And about a week later, he had a date, we met up and Ben drove over from Lansing area, from over in Lake Ovid where the Bitcoin 101 is at. I met him there and then from there, our relationship just started blossoming.
They, Mike and those guys, they're just so humble. They really don't want anything back, right? They're giving their food, their place to stay, their everything and don't really, they're not getting anything back, right?
Just giving. And that's my philosophy, right? Just giving, giving, giving. And so I hit home with me and I was like, what can I do for this? How can I help this? Really, it was pretty small last year, more local-ish just into Michigan people.
Met some really good guys there and this year, they're really trying to go the next level with it and they're, it's still just about education and giving. Like it's $21, I think, or $20, whatever it is, that you're camping for the weekend.
They usually do breakfast. They did breakfast last year when we woke up for the morning and then they have, you know, they cooked the pig all night. So there's someone up all night there.
People are hanging out, you know, chit-chatting about Bitcoin, all sorts of stuff, not just Bitcoin, right? Just life. And it's some of his workers and he runs a big excavation company out of there, him and the guys and just getting to know them.
And then like I went to, I drove up for a meetup and they'll let me stay in the shop for the night if I need it, if I don't, you know, don't drive home and they've just been really good to me.
And hopefully I think we're going to be doing a, a having party. They bought a place down in El Salvador. They're big in El Salvador scene. So yeah, just, I'm just fortunate. You know, you meet the right people and you keep the ones that are legit and like you said,
you know, the real ones that really are about Bitcoin are the ones that you get attracted to. Or I try to donate as much time as I can to. Yeah. Um, for those that are interested, this pleb minor in the wild is sponsored by the Lake Satoshi barbecue camp out tickets are $21.
You can log on to the OCE app and search Bitcoin 101 or go to Bitcoin 101.io for more information. Chet, I have a little bit of a surprise for you from Kaboom Racks, Alex and myself. We will be giving away an S 19 at the Lake Satoshi meetup.
So for the price of $21 getting breakfast, big rose to getting to swim in Lake Satoshi or, um, feel fishing or just having fun by a campfire with a bunch of plebs. You are pretty much entered to, uh, win an S 19 additionally, auto from Nakamoto mining is going to be giving away some fan shrouds that'll be coupled to that S 19.
So it'll be ready to go to hook up in your home or wherever your, your garage or workspace. And you can get rid of that heat during the summertime and during the winter time capture that heat with, uh, auto, that's awesome, auto, linings, filter apparatus.
Have you seen that one, Chet? It's, it's a 3D printed device, but it slide in, uh, one of those little blue, blue filter material in the back, throw it out, cut you another rectangle, throw it back in.
Those are nice and, um, he's also making the wall, the wall mounted. Yeah. Back in the day, we used to just, we were slapping just, uh, you know, we cut out the Merv eight or Merv 10, 13, whatever and just, the fan would suck it in and just pull it there.
Now I saw his shroud and it's, yeah, really nice, really nice shrouds and, and that's awesome. I appreciate it. I'm sure those guys will be stoked on it too. Yeah. We'll be giving away stickers.
Um, I'm going to have some of Mr. Crown's art there so people can see, um, so anybody that wants to attend, you don't have to be from Michigan, I'm from Western Pennsylvania, I'm driving all the way, um, autos from Canada, he's, he's coming down, fly in, you know,
fly into Detroit and, and drive over, I, that, that, now that's something you should spend your, your time and effort and money. I'm not lecturing people, you know what I mean? But how much you're going to spend on, on Bitcoin magazine's conference, just for tickets
alone, get down to Miami, stay in an Airbnb, help come here, pitch a tent, have some barbecue and talk to some real plebs. I mean, and if, and if there's any other meetups around, so I've bought like five or ten tickets to give out in the Michigan meetups, I mean, if anybody wants to go, just let one of us
know if you, you know, you don't, you don't want to buy a ticket or you don't have the means to buy a ticket, but you can get there. I mean, we'll, we'll make sure you have a ticket and get in, like, don't even, don't even hesitate.
If you want to go, it is a, it is a good time. It's worth coming and meeting your local meetup scene as opposed to going to a big conference for sure. And same, I'll, I'll, I'll match you if, if somebody wants to just show up, no ticket, I, I got your ticket to if, if Chet doesn't, just get your ass there.
Yep. Chet, my brother, thank you for being this month's pleb minor in the wild. I just want to say personally, I really appreciate you as a person and I appreciate you as a pleb and thank God that, that you happen to hear that podcast and look at what's grown since then.
It's crazy. And I appreciate you, John. Very, very much. And your daughter, his daughter makes some of my videos that, that I post and I really appreciate those. She does a hell of a job with them.
Well, the kids appreciate Uncle Chet, that's for sure. Yeah. And I, you know, plebs are where it's at, the, the plebs, the plebs are going to win. Well said. All right, brother. Take care.
Thanks, John. I appreciate everything. Max, it was nice to do that interview with Chet catching up with him. I went to visit him at his mind. So we spent a lot of time together, but it was nice to show to the, the pleb minor community how much goes into running a mind, especially a hydromine and all the things that Chet has
learned over the years and his project management style, his general contracting style, I think is very effective. Another thing that impressed me was him getting a pallet of S9s and just saying I'm going to Frankenstein these things together and try to give them out to as many people as I can
and in a value for value exchange, whatever you think is worth. One of the core pleb minor monthly crew, what do we, like a gang or we, I call Chet a founding father. Oh, I like that. So when we think about pleb minor monthly, I like to think maybe it's pleb minor monthly mafia.
Do you know what I mean? He's another M. That's good alliteration. Yeah, yeah, yeah, but yeah, he's a founding father. Mafioso. He is hashing the torch as we talked a lot about throughout the past months.
We call hashing the torch, pass on whatever machines that you have, whatever knowledge you have, your time to spread pleb mining to other people that may be interested in it. Him getting that pallet or two, I don't know if it was two pallets of S9s and trying to put them together and get them out to somebody.
