Show Notes
In this Confab, Max sits down with veteran journalists Rod Palmer and Richard “Dick” Greaser to take the pulse of Bitcoin culture after a year away from the fray. They dive into the surge of intra-community debates (from node client wars to “paper Bitcoin” angst), why pleb politics resemble bread-and-circuses, and how Maxi Madness—now running in parallel on Nostr and X—has evolved into a spirited, democratic spectacle that both celebrates and sharpens the culture.
Max, Rod and Dick also explore the uneasy overlap of AI and Bitcoin: from “AI glaze” addiction and identity crises to why creativity and fun are strategic advantages, culminating in the debut of a powerful Maxi Madness anthem collaboration with singer Noah Grumman. Beyond the headlines, we talk cultural drift, keeping conviction amid price fatigue, and why playfulness, music, and building matter as much as technical progress. If you’ve felt the scene get too serious, this conversation is a reminder to have fun, create, and participate—because eternal glory awaits in Maxi Madness and beyond.
Maxi Madness brackets and voting on X (Bitcoin Bugle) and Nostr (Primal), the bracket pick’em challenge, and prediction markets via PreX (Bitcoin-only).

Bitcoin is close to becoming worthless.
Now what's the Bitcoin? Bitcoin's like rat poison. Yeah. Oh. The greatest scam in history. Let's get it. Bitcoin will go to fucking zero.
Welcome
back to another ungovernable confab. Today's guests, Rod Palmer and Richard Greaser, are the two most respected journalists in the Bitcoin space. It was an absolute pleasure to catch up with these guys and get some insight on what's happening in the world of Bitcoin.
Before we start, I wanna say thank you to everyone who boosted the last show. Late stage huddle with 6,006 sats. Nice conversation. I swear one of my biggest fears is someone breaking into my house when I'm passed out and catching me off guard.
It's one thing to have guns, but another thing to get caught in your undies in the middle of the night. Yeah. I think that is, everyone's biggest fear.
That's why I had Kevin on on the last confab, which is what he's referring to here. If you have missed that one, go back and have a listen. It was really, really interesting to hear his thoughts on all the kidnapping stuff that's going on in France and hear more about Liana Wallet.
Thank you to RevHoddle for sending 221 stats and saying, as much as I don't like to think through wrench attack scenarios, it's worth considering. Great information for how to think through it all.
Pies sent some strong arms and some guns and a 121 sats. Gang sent a 111 sats. And BTC on board sent a 100 sats and said Liana is awesome. Thank you also to the sponsors, Foundation, who I think was it this morning or yesterday, losing track of time a little bit, but have now released Prime.
So you probably, when you're listening to this, will be able to tune in on Friday because I believe we are gonna have Zach on from Foundation. Talking about the delays, what's going on in the past, and also looking to the future showcasing this incredible device,
Definitely check that one out. And if you haven't already checked out foundation, go to foundation.xyzed. Absolutely incredible hardware. Piss easy to use and an awesome team. Foundation.xyz.
Also, a big thank you to Cake Wallet. If you've been living under a rock and you haven't already used Cake Wallet, go and check them out. Cakewallet.com. They make, in my opinion, the easiest Bitcoin, Monero, and everything else wallet there is.
If you're actually using cryptocurrency in your daily life, you wanna do swaps, you wanna buy gift cards, you wanna be able to send to any address, you want lightning that just works, check them out. They've got over a million users already and growing rapidly.
You can use this on, I think, any device, Mac, Windows, Linux, iPhone, Androids, and everything in between. Seth and the rest of the team are always pushing to make things better, make things more simple, more usable.
And if you haven't already, I highly suggest you go and check it out. Cakewallet.com. And finally, a big thank you to MyNimbox. MyNimbox has been supporting the show for, I think, about six months now, actually. They make it simple for people to set up VPSs without having all your information taken
and probably sold and having people knock on your door and wrench attack you or all the crazy crazy shit that happens with all the stupid KYC. You can sign up, use a VPS, and all of their other services, register domains, all sorts of things without having to give anything more than an email. You can pay in, I think, every cryptocurrency.
And if you haven't already checked out the episode I did with RandomNim where we go deep into all this stuff, the trade offs, the good, the bad, the ugly, I suggest you check that one out. And if you are using a lesser service, consider switching.
Mynimbox. Oh, what is it? Is it .net.com? Mynimbox.io. Yeah. One of those cool dot ones. Mynimbox.io. And if you have any questions about any of the sponsors, you can always reach out to me.
Thanks again to the Bucle Boys for everything that you do. It was an absolute pleasure having you on, and I look forward to catching up again soon. I hope you enjoy the show. Welcome back to another Confab episode.
Today, I'm joined by two credential journalists, Dick Greaser and Rod Palmer, two of the most respected journalists in the space. I've invited them back onto the show to discuss what is happening in Bitcoin culture, what is happening in this upcoming Maxi madness,
what they've been doing with their music and videos and everything else they've been putting out, and to keep me up to date and in the loop because I have been away hiding under a rock for the last year. I've, I'm ashamed to say, not kept up with my forty hours per week or even forty hours a year. Very, very behind.
So looking forward to learning what is happening in the world of Bitcoin. Welcome back to the show, Richard and Rod. Good to be here. Thank you for having us. You've been out of the loop. I'm I'm almost curious to ask you what's going on into real world because I've been I've been quite focused on monitoring the situation.
Right now, what I know is is very serious. There are ships on fire in the Strait Of Hormuz. People are crashing out about that. Oh, yeah. There's crash outs all over the place. So are you crashing out, Max? What's going on? I guess so. Yeah. A little bit. I think I threw my toys out the pram,
got the fuck out of The UK. I had enough there. Fucked off to Agartha. In a split, very quick decision just like this is I've had enough. Just hit the fuck it button and got out. With the move and a load of other fiat bullshit that I had to deal with being attacked by the state, Their many arms and tentacles
kinda switched off from a lot of the Bitcoin world, unplugged the headphones, stopped doing my forty hours a week, and just focused on not destroying my fiat world life. And only really now sort of, like, coming up for a bit of air and, like, saying what the fuck is going on in Bitcoin world? And it seems
there is a a lot of infighting, a lot of crazy stuff going on. So it was like a combination of you posting some sort of offensive Facebook post and getting arrested for it and then Daniel Prince moving back and being annoyed by that? Pretty much. Yeah. It was it was a combination of those two things.
I think he's been moonlighting actually for the police and knocking on doors for these sort of offensive comments and content. So it wasn't actually him who arrested me, but I feel like he may have been part of it.
That'd be news to me. He's kinda following the trajectory of many British Bitcoin podcasters where they're kinda catching up with the conspiracy theories that Americans have been talking about, like, fifteen years ago.
Yeah. We are generally behind you on those sort of things. Why do you think that is? IQ mainly, I'd imagine. A lot more mid curve Brits than there are Americans, I think. And also, we fall into line a little bit easier, a little bit more nanny stay soft. A lot of soft Brits. No guns. That's a problem. We've got some pretty dumb Americans.
That's for sure. Europeans, they used to be they would get kinda cocky, and they would brag that they were smarter than Americans. But, you know, European, a lot of the policies have led to demographic changes that is it's kinda humbled them. And I think that that's, maybe been a nice lesson to learn is is that they're
not as smart as Americans anymore. No. And they're not as fat either. We're working our way up there, but we just haven't quite got there. I don't know if it's the quality of the food is slightly different in America to what it is in the EU. They try hard. I mean, they they put a lot of work into
gaining those pounds, but they're just not there. They are probably at least ten years behind. Yeah. Yeah. That's for sure. Last time I was in The UK, the food was awful. So I would definitely not have a problem overeating if I was
Just skip meals. Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. I mean, especially breakfast. I don't wanna wake up first thing in the morning and have beans. Oh, really? Is that what British people do? They eat beans for breakfast? Yeah. They eat beans for breakfast.
I mean, to do a proper full English, you've gotta have the beans as well. It's gotta be sausage, bacon, eggs. Fried bread is probably better than toast if you can get it. Black pudding, mushrooms, baked beans, fried tomatoes.
You gotta have it all on there. And then you gotta have some daddy sauce as well. Some classic glide sausage. Yes. That's what you need. It's the only way to start your day. I think the core weakness of the British people
is the preference of tea over coffee. Yeah. I agree with that. As a somewhat Brit, I don't really wanna be associated with it, but it is weakness. But I have to say I've never been involved with a tea. It was straight into coffee for me, so I feel like I'm ungovernable in that sense. But it's just not enough caffeine,
binti. That might be why Europeans aren't as productive. They just don't have enough energy. Mean, they don't have enough energy in the like electricity
sense. And that's why, you know, power prices are so high. But they don't have enough energy in the caffeine sense, and they're just not able to get as much work done. They can't get as much podcasting recorded. They can't get as much podcast listening done. They just need enough caffeine. They should they need more coffee. Yeah.
This is true. Anything below the olive line in Europe, the people get lazier. I don't know if you have a similar thing, but when we're talking about Europeans,
the higher up you go, they're gonna be less lazy. The colder you go, they're gonna be less lazy. The warmer it gets, the more lazy. So, like, Italians are fucking lazy in comparison to, like, Swedes or Germans or Swiss.
Depends on the weather. Yeah. Have you gone somewhere where you are actually exposed to sunlight more than a couple of times per year? Yeah. I'm for the first time really experiencing what it's like. It's a nice feeling, just like that feeling of sunshine on your skin dethawing a little bit, like, not constantly being damp
and that not everything is always gray. The downside is it does make you less productive as as we can see. Like, I've done less podcasting, listened to less podcasts, and those are the things that really matter in life. So there are downsides.
I'm curious now that you're exposed to more sunlight. Does Steven Lobka's
entire outlook on life, his views is he starting to make more sense to you now? I'll be honest with you. I'm not familiar with his posts or what he's been talking about. Can you give me, like, a little rundown? I can tell if I agree with it or not. Richard, how would you describe Steven? He's a paper bake whiner.
He really likes to talk about going for walks in the sun. He walking. David Daley actually hired a personal cobbler for Steven last year on Nakamoto shareholders. You know, he spent their money basically buying a a personal cobbler for Steven to go for his to prepare his sheets while he walks in the sun and does podcast.
You know, Steven's got some bright ideas. His career has essentially been a series of unfortunate events of pitching himself to individuals trying to harness various groups of people as kinda like exit liquidity. So, like, you know, he was working with Corey at Swan.
Mhmm. Great guy. You know, Corey was trying to harness the plebs. Mhmm. Is that because of liquidity for his IPO that never came to fruition, and he upgraded with the paper Bitcoin fad into trying to do the same thing to the suit coiners.
Mhmm. But, yeah, I mean, he's got some interesting ideas on the importance of sunlight. He's a big fan of sunning your balls, things like that. Mhmm. Big fan of walking. I would be a fan of bull sunning. I think it's very important to add that into your life.
And, you know, by the sounds of it with the relationships he has with Swan, must be a great guy. Great company. I've been thinking about it a lot is, like, what would the world look like if Swan had successfully IPO ed?
I would say we'd probably have 90% market penetration. You would have pretty much every single person on the planet, even those without Internet access would be sending sats all over the place, streaming sats to podcasts, a much more connected world, I would say. You ever seen the movie or, sorry, the TV show that was on Amazon,
Man in High Castle? No. I've seen that one. I've heard of it. It's like the alternate history of if the Nazis had won World War two and they conquered, you know, the whole world and split it up between them and the Japanese. And I'd like to see an alternate history of if Swan has successfully IPO ed. Mhmm.
I think that'd be a great TV show or movie. A very different world. We'd have a lot more Bitcoin podcasts. That's for sure. I don't think we have enough. That's the problem.
Well, it's just, you know, there's funny paradox of people like to bitch about, like, how there's too many Bitcoin podcasts or Bitcoin podcasters don't say anything interesting
or, you know, whatever they're bitching about. They're like, oh, they all saying the same things. It's like, if they're all saying the same things, it's a very clear example of why we need more podcasts.
Yeah. I agree. It's driving the point at home. Something I noticed is they started adding podcasts to Netflix. So you can now stream podcasts directly from Netflix. And I think this is this would have been a tremendous opportunity to get more Bitcoin, like Swan Bitcoin podcast. Imagine Swan Bitcoin podcast on Netflix onboarding even more
normie plaps. It could have been a fight with Bitcoinization could have been accelerated dramatically. If Swan would IPO'd and they would have got podcasts on Netflix, Swan podcast on Netflix, Pacific Bitcoin.
People will go back and watch the Pacific Bitcoin conference on Netflix. Like, some like, there's a channel on cable in here, The United States where you can watch old music festivals, and you can just go back and reminisce. You really just would have been incredible for the culture.
Well, people who are outside of the culture can really feel the vibes that Swan were giving off. I never went, but I can I can imagine it'd be amazing? I'd love to revisit it. The Peter Ansel panel that Corey did would be like Bitcoin's cuties moment.
Talks of Bitcoin cuties adjacent stuff going on with the Epstein announcements. What are your thoughts on that? I keep hearing rumors that we're run by a lot of pedos here as well. We did some investigative digging. While I think we conclusively believe that Satoshi was Jewish,
I think it's fair to say that the likelihood of him being Jeffrey Epstein is extraordinarily low. Mhmm. But I am not surprised by any. This should have been pretty obvious to people that there's a high probability that
some pretty sick individuals would like Bitcoin and be excited about it. I'm I'm really not shocked by it. You know, part of the reason why I'm not shocked by it is because I've been reading Mark Goodwin and Whitney Webb for years.
And so I think, like, a lot of the outrage that's happening, you know, is very, like, politically motivated. You know, people want to pump their agendas, whatever it is. I found it kinda boring, but it is if anything, I think it's kind of vindicating that the Epstein list was talking about Bitcoin.
They had their eyes on it and were trying to influence the community or the developers from the very beginning, then, you know, we're actually dealing dealing with something that's important. Like, you know Mhmm. If Epstein wasn't funding core developers, I'd probably be more interested in other tokens.
But like anything, it's more of a endorsement for Bitcoin maximalism. It's like a stamp of approval.
Pretty much. And also, like, you being shocked and not that interested in it, I think you listening to Whitney Webb does put you sort of twenty five, thirty years ahead of curve. You're gonna understand things that people, like mere mortals just can't even imagine.
You're so far ahead of the curve that nothing's gonna shock you really, I suppose. My question to people who don't understand this is, would you rather use the same note software, the same quality, the same security, the same type of do you want to be a peer with Mossad?
Or would you rather be a peer with retarded Cardano clips? Those are the choices you have or you you speed on. I don't know. I mean, you don't have to approve
of Mossad to know that their node is gonna be the superior If you use the same node client as them, that's gonna be the superior. You don't wanna be using the same node as retarded blips. Mhmm. No. I get your point. They do things properly.
If they hate the best node, I'm gonna use the best node. I'm gonna use the most decentralized network. I'm gonna use the best peer to peer cache. Even if that means that I might occasionally
do a pay join or a coin join with Mossad or the CIA, I'd still rather do that than use the same thing as retarded flips. I was very interested in the information in the files. I just didn't find any of it shocking, you know, just to clarify.
I guess probably the most interesting revelation was that just like most of us, Jeffrey Epstein and his team didn't find Michael Saylor that interesting. That was probably the most noteworthy revelation.
When they had the hundred k party, I wasn't very excited about it. And it was just kind of like a gut feeling, but I didn't really have I couldn't really articulate why I wasn't excited about it. But, you know, I'm kind of with Epstein on this one. I just don't think Sailor's that great of a hang.
Yeah. Yeah. I would agree with that. I mean, what's happening with Sailor these days? A year ago before I stepped away, he was sort of, like, jumping on stages. He was, like, the rock star of the moment. All the plebs were on their knees just with excitement
for this guy. Is it still the same, or is there there been some changes because of price action lately? What's happened? I haven't really seen him around. Well, I think he's fallen out of the graces a little bit of the plebs. Like, you know, they're mad right now. They they want the price to be higher. You know?
And so they're struggling to try and find someone to blame for the price not being higher. And I think they're kinda picking on him. But what he's up to these days is selling paper Bitcoin.
He started secretly shelling crypto a little bit. Not really secretly, but, like, what's the word? Like, covertly,
not, like, straight out, but, know, he'll retweet crypto accounts and, you know, stuff like that and that. He's just posting a lot of AI slot Mhmm. AI plug slot. He is a pioneer on that front. Yeah. I like the pictures that he does. They're high quality.
Yeah. Saylor, he's been attacking Bitcoin podcasters. You may have missed it. But he was interviewed by Danny from What Bitcoin Did. And Danny asked him some overall pretty tame questions about paper Bitcoin and paper Bitcoin summer, and Sailor just
snapped on him. Something broke in Sailor's brain and he just just totally owned it. They at one point, it looked like Gainey was about to start crying. Wow. It was so intense. And and Sailor was telling him, he's like, why would you attack
paper Bitcoin companies who are buying Bitcoin and issuing equity. Why don't you attack all the fiat companies out there who don't buy Bitcoin? All the companies out there who dump StackSats on a regular basis. And they didn't have any answer for him. Neither and honestly, neither did any plebs.
And I think that that Sailor was sending a message with that interview that the plebs have been pretty rowdy, and they did pretty disrespectful, and they've been pretty old to make a lot of public criticisms of Sailor. He's most of the time doesn't acknowledge it.
But, you know, he was like sending a missile over the bow to let the plebs put them on notice to say, if you've got something to say to me, if you've got some disrespect to about my paper Bitcoin,
you better come correct or you're gonna be embarrassed. Like, put some respect on his name. Right, Neo. He is the Giga Chad after all. Yeah. You gotta get those plebs in line. Yeah. I think he's reeling. Like, for so long, he had the cyber hornets on lock in his corner showing for him.
Like you said, I mean, they were on their knees for him. He's learning the hard way that, you know, the Cyber Hornets will always eventually turn on you. Yeah. This is the problem with, you know, allying yourself with the plebs. You know, plebs are hungered, and they're always looking for somebody to to try and devour.
And Mhmm. You know, they might be your friends one day, but they'll come back around for you eventually. A lot has changed in the culture since I stepped away a little bit, but that's one thing that's always been consistent.
That's for sure. I think it always will be. A certain personality type. Have you been following the bit one ten, Nott's versus Core, the whole node client debacle at war?
To some degree, I I keep up with things just from doing the Bitcoin brief every other week with Q and and doing our Freedom Tech Fridays. You know, I I keep in the loop somewhat. What I try to do is rather than go too deep into things and, like, actually
learn about a subject and actually understand a subject is to look at the people who are heading up that idea, and then I make my decision based on that. So when I look at bit one ten and the not stuff, it's obvious to me at least,
these are the people that you get behind. The quality of character is there. People like Luke, just obviously a man you wanna follow, the choices that he makes in his personal life and seemingly dire, and everything else would obviously follow through to good ideas and being right.
There's also this other guy. I can't remember his name. He runs an actual university in Bitcoin who seems to be quite keen on this idea. Anyone who runs a university obviously knows what they're talking about.
So, yeah, I mean, I'm very much on board with Bitbonten. I think it's I think it's cool. Just, you know, look at the people that you look up to and follow them, really. Even if Q and Seth and John and everyone else in our groups are ungovernable,
disagrees with them, they have the credentials at the end of the day. And that's what matters. Just to clarify something. There is a professor who runs Bitcoin University. However, and you may have missed this as well. Richard and I did some investigative journalism and we discovered that Bitcoin University is not accredited.
It's It's not an accredited higher education institution. No way. And Matthew Crater does not have any credentials. He doesn't have a PhD. He doesn't have a master's degree in Bitcoin. He hasn't received any formal training to be a professor, much less the dean of the university.
So while he does call himself a professor and he does call his college or his school a university, there is no accreditation or credentials to back that up. Oh, okay. Well, it seems I have been deceived then because he seemed very
legit to me. I was just looking and searching now. You said the name Matthew Crater. I've he must have me blocked because I can't find him. But he looks like a trustworthy individual. I mean, even if he's not though and even if that university isn't truly accredited,
you know, Luke is someone that I would certainly look to and just say, Good decisions are made. And so I don't know. I don't think you're gonna change my view on this. What are your thoughts? I think the clubs needs to stand together.
They're powerful as a pack. It's been a fun debate to watch, and I found it entertaining. You know? I I think that's just the the way to look at this debate is it's it's entertainment. It's kinda it's like watching keeping up with the Kardashians in a sense. It's like reality television, but just playing out on social media.
It's very, like, sensationalized and it's been funny. I mean, it's just it's given Shinobi the chance to go run around and call everybody retarded. And Mhmm. That's always fun to watch him crash out. That's fine. I think it's kind of run his course, honestly.
Mhmm. We've upset a lot of people with our reporting on the debate, and we've had a lot of names thrown at us. You know, I was accused this morning of being, like, a COVID propagandist. Mhmm.
I could see that. I just found that kind of intriguing. Would you not say that despite all of that,
there are some positive points? I mean, definitely seems like this is a movement for the people. Just scrolling through now, like, there's some guy who's just a mechanic, obviously, finds Bitcoin somewhat interesting, and people are communicating with him. They're not seeing him as a lesser person just because he's blue collar.
Obviously, he has no idea about this type of technology. He's a grease monkey at the end of the day, and they're saying, okay. Look. We're gonna get you involved in this. And I think that's really sweet to give him a voice.
Yeah. I think the BIP one tend to be it is the maturation of the Bitcoin social ecosystem. You know, what I mean by that is for a very long time, there hasn't been a ton of like, I guess the the block size wars were kinda like this, but then it died off a bit. But there hasn't been the presence of, like, a left versus right
kayfabe argument to suck people in and argue about incredibly unproductive things that really have no impact on anything. That is truly you know, like, every country in the world to some degree, except for, like, North Korea, they transcend
the KFAB or the, you know, the plebs arguing back and forth. They have true unity as a culture because of their Bitcoin president, Kim Jong Un.
But every country in the world has this to some degree, you know, because the the plebs the people ruling the world understand the plebs are retarded, but they also understand that the plebs, you know, when they're mad, they can become dangerous.
And so what they have concocted is these ways for the plebs to feel like they have a voice, but essentially have no impact on the general discussion of anything. Mhmm. So it just keeps them occupied.
The BIP one ten debate is the perfect Bread and circuses.
Is democracy at work in a lot of ways. Like, you know, the the messaging is very similar. It's like your note is your vote. The pubs feel like they've got skin in the game. There's been these products, these trinkets that have been rolled out to them that they can buy for about the price of a paycheck or or less than a paycheck. Uh-huh.
You know, like, the start nine node and whatever that that kind of makes them feel like they they got their skin in the game or bid acts. And yeah. Yeah. I mean, I think it's great. I mean, I think it's just, you know, the Bitcoin community benefits greatly from keeping the plums distracted.
Yeah. For sure. I've also heard through the grapevine that you guys are working on something maxi madness, which supposedly is gonna be very soon released to the world, and it's gonna be big. So can you talk me through that? I know it's incredibly important,
but I haven't kept up with it. Can you talk who might be involved in this? How it works? Is this another good way to use time and distract so that people can get on with work? Or what's it all about? I'm I'm surprised this is the third annual Maxi Madness tournament. I'm a little surprised that you are not familiar from previous years.
However, considering you are a funny talker and you're not from The United States Mhmm. There is an annual tradition in The United States. We have several sports ball rituals like this. But every March, all of the accredited universities and their athletic departments, the top 64
college basketball teams meet and have a multi week tournament called March Madness. Maxi Madness coincides with March Madness and has a lot of similar themes, lot of similar structure. It is a 64 participant tournament of Bitcoin podcasters, Bitcoin influencers, developers, and other Bitcoin nationals.
The the most relevant, the most productive, the most influential of the year. It is a true exercise in democracy because the winner of these matchups is not determined by referees who are gambling on draft teams, athletes who are also gambling on the outcome in DraftKings, the polymarket.
It is determined by the voters. Everyone who has access to X and DAO this year for the first time who has on roster can vote for who they want to win each matchup. And the person with the most votes just like in a democracy, they move on until you get to the championship.
Last year, our champion was 10 e gate points. 2024, it was yellow. And this year, it could be anyone. But it's an exciting time. We can get more into the bracket this year, who the participants are, but that is what it is at a high level. It is pure, unadulterated,
plant slop democracy. Mhmm. Democracy at its finest. I'd love to get into it. Yeah. I do feel ashamed. I know I am a funny talker, so that gives me some shield here, but not keeping up with something as important as this. I I am embarrassed to say.
I apologize for that, but I'll be excited to be following this and see who reigns supreme. Can you talk me through the the categories and who's in it, and do you have any favorites for it, or that's something maybe you can't discuss? No insider trading? Yeah. I just wanna clarify. It's definitely not a a distraction.
This is the most important selection of our lifetimes. This is the Bitcoin maximalist community coming up with a social consensus for who the best maximalist is, which I think is a very important exercise to operate because eternal glory is on the line. And these type of contests where you put
different maximalists head to head, it it really allows for the community to see comparison and to make sure that people don't rest on their credentials Mhmm. That they're constantly pushing to grow and to become better. If you fall off the map and you don't participate with the community, you're probably not gonna be in Maxi Madness.
Like, just because you had the greatest podcast last year doesn't mean that you haven't even tried, doesn't mean that you're gonna be even included in the tournament. There maybe there needs to be somebody new that that comes takes your mantle.
But, yeah, these tournaments are are big. Like, they will be talked about for generations to come, will be talked about in in history classes,
in the Citadels when when kids are learning about the history of money, they're gonna be hearing about Maxey Madness. Stops people resting on their laurels. I like that. This year, there will be two Maxey Madness tournaments under one umbrella, one logo, same dates, but there will be one on Nosser and one on X. And so the participants
are a little bit different. Richard has been working hard with the selection committee and he's the chair of the Nostrad Maxey Madness tournament selection committee this year. I've been running the selection committee for the X tournament. And so Richard can get into who's been selected, what the regions are, and I can talk about backs.
You know, depending on which one you'd like to go into first, we could talk about that. I think everyone, every true pleb is in agreement that Noster is the future. I think everything is gonna be built on Noster. I mean, literally everything. So if we start there and then go to the inferior technology,
much more used, much better graphing, and and more people and everything, but worst technology in every way. X, we do that last. Sure. So what's going on with the Noster one? You know, we were debating this year
how are we gonna do the tournament. We were in talks with the Noster people for a while. They really wanted the tournament to come to Noster. And so we were in discussion of how to do the tournament. And because Noster and Twitter, while there's a little bit of overlap, they are completely different worlds.
Like, there's many people on Noster who have no idea who the participants in Maxi Madness are on Twitter and vice versa. We have a whole region, the the builders region, where probably 75%
of the participants in it, the average Twitter user has no idea who they are. They're individuals that live in this Noster only world they're building. But we've got four divisions. We've got the builders division. So you got your favorite person, Jack Dorsey is the number one seed Mhmm. Of that division.
And we've got a ton of builders in their show favorite, Rev Hoddle, 16 seed going up round one against Dorsey. That'd be a wild upset. People like Fishcake, Justin Moon, GG, OpenMike, Cali, AverageGary, Kieran, Kieran did Zapdot stream, MVK, Fiat Jeff, Oscar Mary, JB fifty five, Lobb,
Miljin. Is that how you Milhan? I don't know how to say his name, but he's the CEO. Milhan? Yeah. Super test net. While there's a lot of overlap between people on Noster and people on Twitter, the rankings are different. Some people might be power users on Twitter and
be on the Oster and are completely irrelevant. Some people might be power users on the Oster and completely irrelevant on Twitter. Mhmm. Shout out to Primal and Yuan. They really were excited about Maxi Madness this year and bringing it to Primal. And the dev team cleared their roadmap to focus on bringing SAP polls and user polls
to Primal users. So the tournament will function very similarly to how it does on x except for probably a slightly degrading user experience. But other than that, it's gonna be the same. Mhmm. Do you think having Maxi Madness going across to Nosta this year will
make a big change to the amount of users that will be signing up and using Nosta upgrading this technology because the user base is still much, much smaller than you'd imagine for such a world changing technology.
Do you think this is what pushes it over the edge and gets the average pleb going across? I'm optimistic that it can be the catalyst because, frankly, something has to be. Nothing else has worked yet. So we're throwing our hat in the ring. We're bringing democracy to primal to Nostrad. And we're hoping that by bringing democracy
to the protocol, you know, if you build it, they will come, is the same. So we're hoping that that is the case. I think there's a very real possibility. Many people have been talking about the issues with counting votes, saying democracy is broken.
For a while, there's been a lot of discussion of doing voting on the blockchain. I think we have a very real possibility with this of showcasing to the world that voting should be done on Oster, and that's how government elections should be ran Mhmm. Is using the Oster protocol.
I think it's really exciting. It is probably the one of the most interesting things to to happen on Oster ever. So I think it's gonna be a big moment. Yeah. I'd agree with that. And a great list. I didn't write them down, but just some of the names popping out on me there. A great list of of solid Maxis then.
I'll be interested to hear how that overlaps with Twitter or X. Is it exclusively people in one camp or the other, or or is are they across both? There are some people who will be in both tournaments.
However, it is considerably different. The first two years of Maxi Madness, the regions were broken down by leaners, thinkers, influencers, and the PodConf region, essentially. This year, it will be a little different. This year, we have a region which will be the spammers versus the retards, which will feature
some of the most influential outspoken individuals in this Knott's versus core. Today Mhmm. You can expect to see the number one seed in this region is Luke Dasher. Mhmm. Number two seed, Doctor. Adam Back. And then you can go through there. You've got Shinovie in this region.
You can expect to see Justin Bachelor Mhmm. Mechanic, Foglemanaut, Peter Todd, James Silva, and I believe NVK, that you can move down to the builders versus the sloppers. And so you've got the the number one seed in the region, Michael Saylor, the pioneer of ClubSlop and AISlop.
You've got Casey Ordmulls who's building is building the Ordmulls protocol. You've got Stu from Char. You've got Rizzo, Pete Rizzo, one the top sloppers Rizzler. On the X platform. You've got Kali and others.
Then you move over to the it's not exactly the Podgolf region. It's more of the industry region in the plebs. Some of the most decorated plebs in the Bitcoin jewelry industry. You've got number one seed yellow.
You've got podcasters such as Danny Knowles. You've got Jack Mallers, David Daley, Dennis Porter,
Samson Now. Big names. Yes. Exactly. And then you've got we've got a region Oh, Dennis Porter. I mean, I just. Dennis Porter's back. He was he was in North Korea doing announcements for the North Korean state as a hostage. I don't know if you missed that, Sarta, from November until just a few weeks ago. Yeah. It's good to have him back.
But he's back. He's making announcements again. So he's back from Axie Mavis just in time. And the McVile region is the hot region, and it is just the hottest influencers and Bitcoiners in the space. Okay. You're I mean, we're talking Isabella, Lena Alden, Natalie Brunel, Tim Totsman, who's kind of a paper bickling guy, Joe Nakamoto.
Mhmm. Yeah. I mean, it's if you're listening to this, you can go to the bugle me as Noster profile, or you can go to the Bitcoin underscore bugle on x. You can see the full brackets. But it's it's definitely going to be the biggest event yet. And it's good. The matchups are just the AA is gonna spark so much competitiveness, pettiness,
controversy. People are either excited or they are on the verge of crashing out already. When this thing kicks off on March 19, the craft shops are going to just go parabolic. I was really advocating for Kitsats to be in the the hot region, but the selection committee overruled me on that one, unfortunately. But both the Noster
and Twitter brackets, we have a hot region. The divisions are a little bit different, but hot is important. What about that guy, haven't heard from him for a while, used to do all the shows with Sailor? I've seen him tweeting recently about, like, his fitness journey and, like, using peptides and stuff, long blonde hair, hot. Is
he not in it? You know what I'm talking about? Like That's the one. Surely in the hot list. I don't know if Robert Prelov made the term at this year. I would have to go I I don't have the the brackets in front of me right now.
I don't have all 64 of them memorized yet, but I think the selection committee was like, I don't know. They just somebody else selection committee, I think, was snubbed Mhmm. By the Alpha group chat that Robert Brelov runs for the people who sign up and go to his, annual
Alpha Retreat Yep. In Costa Rica Mhmm. Or Mexico. I can't remember where it was. So I think Robert Brelov did not make it this year. Although, you know, a lot of women think he's hot. So, you know, again, sometimes the drama and the intrigue of Maxi Madness is who doesn't get it.
People are upset about who they thought deserved to be in Maxi Madness and doesn't make. Like, one person who who who's crashed out the past two years for not making Madness was Steve Barber. He's pretty upset that he hasn't been selected.
He that he thinks he deserves to be a Maxey Madness, but, you know, the selection committee disagrees.
Sometimes it's that simple. There's no crying in Maxey Madness. There's a lot of thought that's put in that the selection committee puts in. For the individuals that are upset that they didn't make it this year, it should just be motivation to go and perform next year. Mm-mm. There's many reputable schools
that don't make it into March madness. It's not the end of the world. Like, if anything, it should just be, you know, more of motivation to, you know, get out there, rip good podcast episodes Mhmm. You know, grow your brand, sell more ref links, whatever it is you feel like you need to do. A great example of this is Adam Sameca.
Adam Sameca was very just wasn't satisfied with not being in Maxi Madness the first two years. He tweeted about this last March that he was going to do whatever it takes to be a Maxey Mattis in 2026.
And he did. Adam rose to the occasion and he called off stake in Shake. One of their franchisees in the Midwest refused to accept Bitcoin and he got he almost got that franchisee. That franchisee almost lost his property because Adam Summeka went to leadership in the c suite at Steak and Shake, and he got us sorted out. Just
the other day, Adam Sumecca was arguing about consensus with Adam Back in the mentions of one of my posts for over eight hours. Mhmm. In fact, multiple times during that the day, Adam Sumecca reminded he humble checked
doctor Adam back and told him that even though Adam back was basically winning all the technical arguments, and every time Adam would have to concede on a technical argument, he would remind doctor Adam back to remain humble. He's like, you you don't stay humble, you will eventually be humbled. Mhmm.
He it's just it's just that tenacity and that Consistency. Consistency not taking failure. No matter how many times the deck seems stacked against him and he seems wrong, He is still persistent.
That type of hustle got him into Maxi Vadna's issue. It's a step above just not taking failure, where it's not even recognizing failure. Right. Exactly. And that is the quintessential purity of a real pleb slump. It's the lack of self awareness and the lack of ability to recognize when you have failed. Because
if you don't know you failed, you can keep going. You can keep striving for success. Yeah. I love that. Well, I'm very excited to see who comes out on top. Definitely got some heavy hitters across all these different sections.
It should be noted. I I before we forget, that last year, a very popular addition to Maxi Madness was the tournament bracket pick them challenge. So in in The United States, every March, people who coworkers,
families, friends, group chats, they come together and they create a little thing where that everybody's gets their bracket and they fill out who they think is gonna win each matchup all the way down to who wins the ultimate tournament champion. Mhmm. And whoever has the most accurate bracket at the end of the tournament is the winner.
And sometimes it's just, you know, whoever wins just gets the clout, the glory. Sometimes there's prizes. Our tournament bracket challenge, a interactive bracket that people can go. They can sign up. They go out their bracket. Those get locked in on
Thursday morning when the event begins. And whoever has the most accurate bracket last year, it was actually boomer, so we he won a bid axe from Colter as well as a prize swag box, I guess, you could say. The under there was some Governmental Misfit stickers. There was candles.
I think this year, we're gonna include some of that stuff again. We'll probably get some barn liners beef jerky in there. But the ultimate prize for the winner of the tournament bracket challenge this year is still to be determined.
They will definitely be announced if you are listening to this week, but as we are recording this next week. Potentially a Bitcoin mining machine with more cash than a Bitaxe? The possibilities are endless.
Me and Richard are still working out those details. Might be tickets to a music festival thrown in there as well if you if you like going to music festivals that are value for value oriented.
There's also going to be maxing ads this year sponsored by PreX, the Bitcoin Lightning Network prediction market, similar to Volund market. But Bitcoin only, no KYC, no VPN required. And we're gonna be doing prediction markets based on MaxiVadas.
So not only will you be able to vote in MaxiVadas, not only will you be able to make your predictions on the tournament bracket, pick them challenged with the chance to win a war, but you will be able to put your money where your pull up slump is and predict who you think what the outcomes are going to be with Maxi madness.
And you have skin in the game and be able to win money potentially if you if your predictions, they come true. I wonder how much you can sway the decisions as well. Like, if you're really keen on winning this thing and you think you are the hottest, as an example, you could maybe put some money down
and then not that there are sheep in this community. If there were, they might follow suit and be like, oh, okay. Well, they're favorite, so they're who I'm gonna bet on as well. You could maybe actually sway things in that way. Once you bring in these prediction markets, once you bring price signal to use into competition,
it really lots it in for people following law, and they pay attention more closely. And they vote more deliberately, and they vote more they're more informed voters, I guess, is what he said.
Still has yet to be determined what the overall impact of prediction markets on the world is gonna be if it's an oracle for reality or if it is a influencer of reality. Big test case here, though. This is really, I imagine, gonna show the world what what might happen.
I agree. I mean, these prediction markets were a big part of the discussion of the early cypherpunks. A lot of early cypherpunks were massive bulls on prediction markets. It's kind of astounding that it took so long for them to come to fruition.
But I think now that they're here, exciting. I'm very excited about them. I I hope that people are very excited about them. There have been some humming and hawing about them. Individuals think it's the same thing as gambling.
And, you know, I find it strange. You know, there there's a lot of clubs out there that are they're doing their bracket challenges for Fiat March Madness, but they're unwilling to do it for Bitcoin March Madness.
Yeah. It's gonna be interesting to see. The other thing I wanted to ask you both, I've not really been paying attention as much as I should be, and you guys have always been ahead of the curve on this.
What's your thoughts with everything going on in AI? It seems I mean, we're guilty of this as well mainly because q and a has been bitten hard by the AI bug, and he actually never stops talking about it. Barely sleeps now. So it's sort of working its way into Bitcoin podcast that we do as sort of, like, at least 25% AI podcast.
You guys were ahead of the curve with a lot of stuff you were doing with audio, video, images, all sorts of things, so, you know, at least a couple of years ago.
Where are you now with that? What are you working on? And what are your thoughts with this sort of merging of of Bitcoin and AI? I think that a lot of Bitcoin people aren't bullish enough.
Mhmm. They're looking for something that has NGU because they're missing out on the the Bitcoin NGU. And so they're one of the things that many Bitcoin people have grown accustomed to for a long time is having VC funded companies glaze them. Right? And the glaze of the VC funded companies has shifted towards.
And many of the Bitcoiners that have grown accustomed to that glaze are feeling some withdrawal, and they're kinda crashing out in various ways. And many of them are finding a lot of solace in getting glaze by AI. They have ChatGPT
glazing them Mhmm. Instead of, you know, like Corey Klipsten or, you know, whoever the VC funded company Shell is. I think there's a real danger right now on the psyche of many Bitcoin individuals, which is
AI Glaze. And so that's something I've been, you know, concerned and following. Preston Pisch was just hospitalized for chat GBT psychosis recently. I think there's a serious issue with people not getting glazed enough in real life and turn into these doodads to do it for them. That makes sense.
Yeah. Absolutely. There are too many men, too many husbands out there who are seeking glaze from Chad G. D. T. Instead of seeking glaze from their wives. So it's causing problems in their marriages and vice versa. Women too. I mean, there's too many people who they just like to argue, and their friends, their families,
they've kind of grown weary of people argue with their somebody tries to argue with their family, argue with their husband, argue with their wife, argue with their neighbors, argue with their coworkers about the Epstein client list, or
the fires in the Strait Of Hormuz situation they're monitoring or this or that. And people are just sick of listening to him, so they've been isolated. They found the chatty people just argue with him all day, all night long. And so they're either seeking glaze or they're seeking debate
from these machines. And then there's a guy on Twitter, b g c bread man. And he's been posting on he's I think he's really horny. He's been posting AI generated softcore porn because Grock and Elon Musk announced just the other day, in fact, that if it's allowed in a rated R movie,
then Croc Imagine can create it. So he's just been posting tons of pictures of naked AI girls jumping on trampolines with the boobies hanging out. And this is just another form of glazing your own node, gooning on club slot form videos.
And it's and this is one of the big problems is people are just spinning their wheels with these really unproductive activities. But then you go back to, like, what Richard said, I agree people aren't bullish enough. People who spent the past couple of years arguing on spaces,
taking their bogus and posting plops a lot instead of listening to podcasts, listen to forty hours per week in building and learning, and now Clonbots and AI bots are smarter than them. If you listen to forty hours per week and you've been really dialed in Mhmm. You're smarter than JacksGPT.
You're smarter than these tools. In fact, if you listen to forty hours per week, you're constantly frustrated having to tell ChatGPT to stop being retarded Mhmm. Because it gives everything wrong. But if you've been farting around looking at blood slot, picking at boogers, and and arguing on spaces,
You just believe wherever Chad Giviki tells you, you don't even realize that it's wrong. And these people are freaking out that we're they're gonna lose their jobs. These bots are automating blood slot. People like Tom or Strohlite are then crashing out about AI because his job is he used to log in to acts of the morning, post some
crazy hippie nonsense, and just get glazed by plugs in companies all they want. There's just too many other options out there that are much cheaper, much more efficient.
People who can go into the replies of Brian Armstrong from Coinbase and call Brian Armstrong the shitcoin owner and say, x r p c m. You don't need Ghost of Dick Whitman to do that anymore.
You can just have a bot do it. So while the the purpose of the play, that identity is this cyber hornet protecting Bitcoin,
they're being replaced by by drones, like blood drones. It's actually worse than losing your job. Losing your purpose is is even worse than what you say. There's some of the names you mentioned there. That was their identity.
They're losing themselves,
which is is a scary thought. Yeah. I think for a lot of individuals, AI is creating identity crises in a lot of ways. Like, you know, many people had these projections of, like, okay. The Bitcoin price needs to go up to this price in order for me to finally get a girlfriend. And now they're like Or sick. Jumping the gun.
They're like, I don't wanna wait. I can have my AI grok sex robot girlfriend. Mhmm. Like, I don't have to wait for the Bitcoin price to x number. You know, AI is definitely challenging a lot of people's time preference. There's a lot of people that are being exposed at the moment. They were low time preference LARPs,
and they're being exposed as being very high time preference. Mhmm. What about for creativity? I mean, like I say, you guys are always on the forefront with this stuff. Has it changed the way that you're working?
The way that I looked at it is, you know, when, like, a new version of of software ships and it it just makes it better. That's that's kinda how I view these tools. I think in a lot of ways, the the creative process doesn't
exponentially change. It's just kinda like the tools in which you use to communicate whatever ideas that you're trying to communicate changes. But I think the tools just keep on getting better. One of the things, like, this summer is gonna be so starting Memorial Day, white goy summer
starts. Mhmm. I'm very excited about this. Like, one thing I'm really passionate about, I do believe that we need the Jews to make good movies. I think what will drive them to make good movies again is just market competition. So I think, you know, this summer, we're gonna be seeing the rise of Goy Hollywood using
a lot of these AI video tools, and I plan on being a huge part of that. Like, I wanna be a staple of GOI Hollywood for sure. Like, I wanna be the Stanley Kubrick of GOI Hollywood, if you know what I mean. Mhmm. I do know what you meant. And I know you were previously working on a lot of music, music videos.
Is that something you've continued with? You'd sent me something earlier I hadn't had a chance to check out. It looks like it might be along those lines. Is there something we can preview or play or not at this moment? No. You could definitely preview and play it.
I think there's gonna be some awesome evolutions in our our creative endeavors and doors opening with collaborating with very cool and talented individuals. So, you know, the song that you're referencing referencing is a collaboration
I did with Noah Grumman. I don't know if you wanna play it, and then we could talk about it or how you wanna do it. Let's give it a play.
Who will be the one victorious? The one they will sing their story of? Who made it all the way to the end? Harness destiny to be their friends. Will they be a hero of the webs? Or will a villain spindle webs? A hard fought battle away to decide Maxine Madness' fate.
They've been training all their lives.
Corn. This battle is about Bitcoin or slavery. And the champion is the one who shows bravery, defeating shadow bans when they thought we were not. Red running backs, running circles around fear, cops. Podcasting comes to TV won't televise the revolution. Cypherbunks, right goals, the
Wow. Will you allow me to glaze you just for a moment here? I know you've gotta go in a minute, Rod. Glaze away. That really was powerful stuff. I've got goosebumps and tears in my eyes. The message behind this is
incredible. I'm sick today. I barely rolled out of bed, and I I wanna go and run a marathon and and then train and fight a fucking shark. The battle for eternal glory. I love it. Yeah. Was pretty cool how it came together. Noah, who sang the song, she actually sang that and did all the mixing for it, did an absolutely
incredible job. She's one of the best singers in the world. Amazing. I sent her over the demo track. She was so stoked about it. She loves Maxi Madness. She's a huge fan of Maxi Madness.
She messaged back. Like, I have to sing this. So it took a little bit because she put a lot of time into it, a lot of effort into it, probably did, five different revisions of it before she was happy with it. Then she went and shot a music video Mhmm. Which is pretty cool.
Well, I look forward to seeing the video, but you can tell the love and attention that's gone into that and the meaning behind the song. Yeah. It's very powerful. Yeah. I gotta run but I just this is why Maxi Madness, it means so much to so many people.
Some good, some bad, some hate it, some love it. If you're new to Maxi Madness, you're just finding out about it by listening to this interview. Check it out. It begins March 19. You can find it on x bitcoinbugle
or on Oster. I'm sure the adbub will be in the show notes because I don't have that memorized. But it it's been great. It's my first time on one of the ungovernable misfits shows,
and it's been a pleasure, and it's been an honor. Thank you for having me. Thank you for coming on. I I appreciate everything you do, and I will flog myself later as soon as we get off this call. We're missing the previous years, but I'll be tuned in and dialed in for this one. So, yeah, thanks again.
And, Dick, if you can still hang around with me for a moment, that'd be great. Yeah. Thanks, Rod. Appreciate you. Thank you. Wow. I've still got goosebumps. Oh, I'm still here. Yeah. I think, you know, Maxi Madness,
some people think it's a joke. Some people take a little bit too seriously, I think, and, you know, crash out. It's an opportunity to have a lot of fun, to celebrate this social ecosystem
that many of us care deeply about, to glaze our favorite podcasters, influencers, whoever. Mhmm. And I think it's a lot of fun. I think this song is representative of that, just like the nature of the fun of, like, yes, we're all doing something incredibly important, incredibly serious,
but yet at the same time, we can have a little fun while we're doing it. Mhmm. I'm a big believer in whoever has the most fun wins. And I think there's many people in the Bitcoin ecosystem that have lost sight of that. I think that's part of why there's, like, a a deep lack of creativity and culture is because
many of the people, they just get caught up in the seriousness of what does Fiat falling apart mean. They're kinda stuck in a trauma response of, a flight or flight scenario, and, you know, it's why they get trolled over and over again by shitcoiners and whatever. And they lose their minds in accidentally
outraged market for the shitcoins that they hate without thinking very critically about it. It's just like, hey. You guys need to slow down and, you know, have some fun and realize
just because the world is ran by a bunch of pedophiles that are trying to steal all your money doesn't mean that you shouldn't have fun. You know? It's like part of the reason why they have so much power is because people aren't taking the time to have fun. And I really think
in the battle to usher in free market money and then destroy fiat, huge aspect of being successful in that is having a good time. Mean, I it's like if you're trying to communicate a compelling message to somebody else, it's not very compelling. You can't be a misery guts while trying to influence
other people to follow your ideas. I agree. Like, I I've seen it since early days of me getting involved, like, 1718, '19. It used to be a fun place. I completely agree. Like, that magic has been lost. A lot of that magic has been lost. And the way I look at it is people have got more serious and more defensive as
the stakes have gone up and once we started to be seen as something other than comical. Because in that sort of time and before, it was seen as just a complete joke.
And then once more suits arrive and it's mentioned on the news more and it becomes part of the conversation more, people then start to take themselves seriously as well. I miss that.
Like, part of the reason I've tuned out of most stuff is because I used to log in to Twitter, like, seventeen, eighteen, and and I'd be laughing because, like, everyone was just joking around and fucking about. And, like, people were like, yeah. This is kinda cool, but, like, is it ever gonna actually be anything?
And, like, it's just us having a joke between us and, like, fucking around. And now people yeah. It's clout. It's, like, wanting to argue with people on the other side a bit too much. It's I see your point. I really do think that Bitcoin is beneficial to the people that use it, and I don't think that's changed
at all. And there's, like, a lot of people that are humming and hind and throw their hands in the air as if, like, DN concepts of freedom have been defeated. They have at all. It's just there are ebbs and flows as far as, you know, where people are at and where public perception's at, but, you know, the entire fiat system is collapsing
around you. For years, we were telling the the fiat no coiners to have fun staying poor. Mhmm. How about you have fun playing with your Bitcoins? Mhmm. I know we're not getting rich at the moment, but, like, it'll probably happen in due time. It's been interesting watching people's conviction
leave. And I, you know, I think part of it is just, like, most of us bought in a little bit too hard to the pleb's law. And a lot of, like, the narratives that were popular
didn't stand the test of time, and so people are having to readjust their mental models and perspectives on the world, which is, you know, a difficult thing to do. But it doesn't mean that everything else, like, failed or changed at all. Mhmm. I think Bitcoin is continuing to be easier to use than ever.
And, like, the narratives that make it compelling, the market circumstances that make it a compelling technology and money just continue to get stronger and stronger. There are people building, but it's just part of the reason why I put so much effort into the music world. Like, one of the things I'm really excited about,
you know, which we're gonna be promoting a lot during Maxi Madness. So I'm gonna be a part of a music festival this summer, DJing for the first time, and I'm gonna be playing a lot of the songs off my newest electronic album. Nice. I think, you know, the messaging that you can communicate
in music is just it's awesome. It's like, you know, what is a meme at the end of the day? It's a hyper condensed version of a podcast where you're trying to take a lot of complicated ideas and just boil it down into a very simple form of messaging, you know, that could be easily understood at a glance. I think songs are a form of meaning
in a lot of ways, in a way that people can be a little bit more receptive. They give real energy as well. You know? What I just listened to there, it's like pumped me up. The song can completely change your outlook. So more powerful than memes to me music.
Yeah. I agree. I think there's something special too about, like, the human voice. I think part of the reason that what makes this song so great is that Noah's singing it. Mhmm. A lot of people, you know, when you're looking at music,
I think they focus too much on the sound. You know, music in many ways of why you like it is more of like a feeling based thing. Mhmm. And I think the human voice carries, in many ways, the person's, like, vibe or they're like their spirit. That's something that I don't think like, you can communicate some great ideas, you know, through
AI music and it could sound great, but I I just don't think it, like, has the same soul as, like, somebody actually singing it. Mhmm. Like that song does. Yeah. You can tell. Which is why I consider all my music that not actually recorded with somebody singing it as just like demo tracks. Mhmm.
But, yeah, I can't I am so so grateful that she did that because I I think it's one of the coolest things ever
to come out of the bugle. Yeah. It's awesome. It's awesome. Well, mate, I'm very, very excited to see what happens with the Maxi Madness stuff. It's great to see you producing this this level of quality in the music industry, really turning it upside down.
And I think we covered some really important topics, and unless there's anything else that you wanted to cover that I have, I think that's probably a good place to wind it down. I would just encourage all the listeners, pick up an instrument, play music, sing, dance. We're in the first turning now
being the gloomy doomer sitting and complaining about how the world's falling apart. It's just it's not cool anymore. Like, that was cool during the fourth turning, but we're in the first turning. It's time to build. It's time to really live.
It's time to, like, really be free and enjoy life. You know, just because everybody else is crashing out doesn't mean that you have to as well. That's great advice. Really turn it up in the first turning.
Oh, it's getting done. Thank you for having us on, Matt. Really appreciate it. Really appreciate Ungovernable Misfits. Thank you for coming on and and everything you do, doing the real work and really getting to the bottom of things. I appreciate it. And, yeah, without you guys, I think we'd be lost in a world of slop. So thank you.
